Note: Depending on the version of Windows you're running, you might need to switch to Classic view to find the Mailentry or it might be labeled 32-Bit.
2. Click Show Profiles, click Add, enter a name for this profile, and then select OK.
3. On the Auto Account Setup page of the Add New Account wizard, select Manually configure server settings oradditional server types, and then click Next.
4. On the Choose Service page, select Microsoft Exchange or compatible service, and then click Next.
5. On the Server Settings page, perform the following actions: A. In the Server text box, type outlook. B. Select the the Use Cached Exchange Mode check box. C. In the User Name text box, enter your entire email address. D. Click More Settings.
Note: Outlook 2013 offers the option to limit the amount of data that is downloaded to your local machine. This can beadjusted, using the "Mail to keep offline slider." You can select caching for 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, 2years, and all. By default, Outlook 2013 only synchronizes twelve (12) months of email to your Offline Outlook Data(.ost) file from the Exchange server. In this example, if you have email items older than 12 months in your Exchangemailbox, they reside only in your mailbox on the server.
6. In the Microsfot Exchange dialog box, click the Connection tab and select the Connect to Microsoft Exchangeusing HTTP check box. Then, click Exchange Proxy Settings.
7. In the Microsoft Exchange Proxy Settings dialog box, perform the following actions: A. In the Use this URL to connect to my proxy server for Exchange text box, enter mex06.emailsrvr.com. B. Select both the On fast networks and On slow networks check boxes. C. Under Proxy authentication settings, select Basic Authentication. D. Click OK.
8. In the Microsoft Exchange dialog box, click Apply and then click OK.
9. On the Server Settings page, click Check Name, type your password, and then click OK.
Note: If you receive a pop-up message asking you to select your mailbox from a list, select your mailbox and click OK.
Your name will then be highlighted and a line will appear under the User Name field which indicates your profile hasbeen configured.
Note: The server name resolves to a unique string that is different with every mailbox. Do not attempt to replicate thisinformation with other accounts.
10. Click Next, and on the next page, click Finish.
11. Open Outlook to select your new Exchange profile.

Chris 2 months agoI'm having the issue with step 9 as well. Windows security keeps popping back up as if I'mentering the credentials incorrectly, but I've checked (and even changed) passwords a number oftimes just to be sure. I enter the full email address as the username. I've also made sure that theaccounts aren't locked from too many failed login attempts. Right now I have the users logged inthrough the Outlook Web App so they can still do their work, but I need to get them fully up andrunning. Whats really killing me is that I can't get help from Rackspace because I'm not theAdministrator (she's out till Wednesday). Has anyone else been able to resolve this?

Fredrik 2 months agoMy password is rejected at step 9. The "windows security" pop up asks for username and password. After entering my email address and password, the pop up jumps back not accepting my logon details. It seems manyothers below have experienced this problem.

For these instructions you would want to use your Exchange email address that is hostedat Rackspace. If you are wanting to set up your Yahoo account in Outlook 2013 you'd wantto take a look at these instructions https://help.yahoo.com/kb/outl.... That is from Yahoothemselves and should assist you with configuring this.

Bryan Skyline 3 months ago> DebHey Deb,
In order to add an Exchange account into an existing profile, we have to make sure Outlookis closed before doing so. Here are the steps:
-Close Outlook-(On your comptuer) Click Start-Control Panel-Look for an icon called 'Mail 32 bit) *You may have to switch it from Category view to Iconat the top right. -Click show profiles-Double click your profile that you want to add the Exchange account to. -Click Email accounts-Click New-Click Email Account then Next
From here, the rest of the steps should be similar to the guide above starting on Step 3.
I hope this information helps and please if you need further assistance, give us a call at888-850-3994

Marco Salazar 10 months agoRacker > cepHello cep,
When authenticating during the setup, make sure you are using the Email address andpassword that has been setup on Rackspace. Also, verify with your admin to make surethe email account has not been locked out due to too many failed password attempts.
If you're still having issues setting up your account, please have your admin give us a callat 1-888-850-3994 and we can investigate further.
Fanatically yours,
Marco Salazar

Lthsinc 8 months ago> Marco SalazarI have a backup .pst for my previous Outlook mail profile. I want to import that intoan offline profile so I have access to that info, and not merge it with my active profile.Have tried setting it up several ways, but seems like it has to actually connect to aserver to create the profile. Any suggestions?

thomasbeck 8 months agoRacker > LthsincIf you are not Importing it into any mailbox, then Import is not the method youwant to go. I would simply click File>Open and Open the PST directly forviewing in Outlook, otherwise, you have to Import the data into a destination.
