What you’ll coverAbout the courseIn the final stage, you'll specialise inmodules such as lean engineering,advanced materials, manufacturingstrategy and systems, as well as ethicaland environmental considerations inengineering. All of these subjects areessential to a modern manufacturingengineer.You'll also take an individual projectmodule to extend your research anddevelopment skills and to give you realexperience of solving an engineeringproblem in industry. It's an excellent wayfor prospective employers to assess yourskills for your first job or for careerdevelopment.

How you’ll learnYou’ll learn through lectures, seminars,workshops and research projects.

Your careerThis course will prepare you to becomean Incorporated Engineer (IEng) within themanufacturing or engineering industries.So you'll be ready for careers inmanufacturing engineering, leanengineering and in applications ofadvanced materials.

You could go on to take our MSc inMechanical and ManufacturingEngineering and work towards becominga Chartered Engineer.

Where you will study: Derby Campus – Markeaton Street sites.

Entry requirements: Academic – 260 UCAS tariff points, ofwhich at least 220 must be from yourInternational Baccalaureate or equivalentqualification.
