AUTO-TRACTM STEERABLE

During a turn, the tractor drawbar rotates the receiver hitch, causing the steering tie-rods to turn the rear wheels. It’s that simple.

Watch any non-steerable tanker and you will see the front tires skid through turns while the hitch applies side (or “jackknife”) load on the tractor drawbar. Jamesway AUTO-TRAC spreader tanks with automatic steering eliminate this problem, allowing the tanker to follow the tractor with minimal stress and strain on tires, hubs, spindles and bearings.

Spreader tanks are heavy loads, so the AUTO-TRAC spreader tank has a fully independent trailer that lets you adjust the hitch load to maintain proper traction without overloading your tractor drawbar. All Auto-Trac tankers measure about 10’ wide and 10’ high (plus discharge pipe). This slim profile makes it easy to manoeuvre through narrow field gates and around cramped yards. No need to run over the line on the road, Auto-Trac tankers fit easily into a single lane, plus operators have full visibility when backing under loading pipes.

The swing-open impeller provides easy access for quick inspection and fast cleanout. The impeller housing is bolted to the tank for easy service or replacement.

The front-mounted 21” diameter pump quickly unloads the tank at 1,200 to 1,500 GPM. The deep sump behind the impeller unloads the tank completely.

Full-length welds are stronger than skip-welds and prevent rusting of seams.

The STANDARD-DUTY 60/40 walking beam smoothly carries the tanker weight and distributes just the right hitch load to your tractor. STANDARD-DUTY Spreader Tanks are equipped with 21.5 x 16.1 flotation tires.

The HEAVY-DUTY undercarriage is built for the bigger loads these tankers carry. The open-type walking beam is offset 60/40 for proper load balance. Choices of tire sizes include: 18.4x26, 23.1x26 and 28x26.

SD undercarriage uses 3” stress-proof axles & 10,000 lb hubs.

HD undercarriage uses 4” stress-proof axles & 16,000 lb hubs.

Jamesway STANDARD DUTY Non-Steer Spreader Tanks are equipped with 16” brake discs and automotive style calipers.
