Free-oil Recovery
Maximize free-oil recovery inthe offshore & nearshoreenvironment outside KahSheets Bay
Deploy free-oil recovery strike teamsupwind and up-current of Kah SheetsBay. Use aerial surveillance to locateincoming slicks.
Multiple free-oil recovery strike teamsas required to maximize interception ofoil before it impacts sensitive areas.

Exclusion
Exclude oil from entering KahSheets Bay north of KahIslands.
Place protected-water boom, with tidal-seal on both ends, between islands, toexclude oil from entering Kah Sheets Baycove. Place Boom (a) must in a chevronpattern due to strong current through thechannel.

Deflection
Deflect oil away from KahSheets Bay to free-oilrecovery strike teams.
Use vessels with deck space (class 2/3/4)to transport equipment. Use small fishingvessels and skiffs (class 4/6) to deployboom and set anchors. Place 8800 ft. ofprotected-water boom in cascaded arraysto deflect oil to free-oil recovery striketeams. Reconfigure boom when tidechanges. Monitor throughout tide.

This aggressive strategyrequires significantexperience and resources toimplement. With limitedresources, deploy one 1800ft. stepped array (600 ft.each) at northern andsouthern ends of bay.
REPORT any culturalresources found duringoperations to FOSC HistoricProperties Specialist.
