This recreation of the final flight of the noted aviation pioneer whose historic 1937 trip around the world ended in her tragic disappearance. This program is based upon "World Flight 1997", Texas aviator Linda Finch's honorary recreation of Earhart's planned flight. With the rare accreditation of the Smithsonian Institution, footage of Finch's flight, artfully intercut with archival footage and interviews with Earhart are shown and theories about what actually occurred during her deadly flight are presented.

Take a glimpse into the lives of extraordinary women working in the fields of science and technology. Their exciting and collaborative work not only improves the quality of lives around the world, but underscores the need for the United States to nurture its home-grown female talent in these male-dominated fields. TV star Melina Kanakaredes recall their science-related experience of their youth and desire for their daughters to remain open to careers in math and science.

Is your world too plastic? What started as a documentary about plastic bags evolved into a wholesale investigation into plastics and their effect on our waterways, oceans, and even our bodies. In this often flat-out-funny film, we follow "everyman" Jeb Berrier as he embarks on a global tour to unravel the complexities of our plastic world. Join the Bag It movement and decide for yourself how plastic your life will be.

Follow the remarkable life and times of an American Visionary.During the 1940s-50s, Jones pioneered the regional theater movement, championed the work of new playwrights and crusaded against the commercial domination of New York Theater. But despite her idealism, energy, warmth and salesmanship, she struggled with loneliness, frustration and doubt. Her untimely death at age 43 came just 6 months following her triumphant world premiere of the play Inherit the Wind.
