INTRODUCING SMARTSENSE LIGHTING

Our most popular marble designs are now available with under-mantel Smartsense lighting. Manufactured with long life LEDs which are mercury free and more energy efficient than traditional halogen bulbs; they provide a sharp flicker-free light accentuating the natural beauty of the marble.

The LEDs incorporate Smartsense Technology which are controlled by a motion sensor – no contact is required! Look for the Smartsense symbol throughout the brochure.

�) Types of Flue or Chimney Requirements

Brick built chimneysBrick built chimneys can be identified by a brick built chimney stack and by chimney pots. Brick built chimneys give you the widest choice of fires and can accommodate all of our gas and electric fires.

Pre fabricated fluesThese can be identified by an external metal flue pipe or cowl on the roof and may have a false chimney breast in the room to conceal the metal flue in the home. Pre fabricated flues can accommodate slimline gas fires and electric fires.

Pre cast fluesCheck for a ridge tile vent or a metal flue pipe with cowl. Pre cast flues are built into cavity walls and can accommodate slimline gas fires and electric fires.

No Chimney or Flue optionsIf you have no chimney or flue, you can still enjoy the benefits of a warm glowing fire.There are 2 options:

Powerflue firesIf you want an open fronted gas fire and have no flue or chimney, then our Powerflue models are for you!This system has a fan assisted exhaust that draws and vents the fire through an external wall.

To preserve the beauty and prolong its life, your fireplace needs regular cleaning. Due to their natural properties, Marble and Limestone require special care and attention. Both materials can stain easily and are sensitive to acids such as citrus juice, vinegar and household cleaning chemicals.

Follow a periodic cleaning routine with a mild, neutral cleaner Avoid using chemical cleaners as these may damage or dull the surface Avoid using wax or spray polishes Avoid placing hot objects, drinks etc. directly onto the fireplace Always rinse using clean warm water

Be Modern Marble & Stone Care Kit

Our specially designed cleaning kit is ideal for cleaning, protecting and maintaining your Marble or Limestone fireplace. It contains 3 water based solutions to:

Clean Light detergent gently removes any minor dirt marks

Seal Seals and protects the marble

Polish Apply polish to the surface to keep your fireplace looking its best (Use on polished surfaces only)

Please note:

Be Modern Limestone surrounds are supplied untreated – they are not sealed.

An appropriate sealer can be applied to a Limestone surround if required, please seek advice from your fireplace retailer. If you choose to seal your Limestone surround we would recommend that it is allowed to dry out after installation so any minor marks can be removed.
