First United Methodist Church March 16, 2016
I hope that you from time to time stop to reflect on your life and how you are really doing?
It is important to do that so that life just doesn't pass us by. How are you doing on your new years resolution or do you even remember what it was. We as a staff adopted the One Word Challenge and my word was "Focus". That word has come into play, many times over the last two and a half months. Whatever you use to mo-tivate you is fine, I was just wondering how you are doing.
It is not the plan that is important it is the goal.
Do you have plans or do you have excuses, which one do you have more of, plans or excuses? The only thing worse than an excuse is a good excuse!!!!!!!!!!!!! God cannot use your excuses but he can and wants to use you. What if the Wright Brothers had said, "we can't develop the flying machine, because we don't have a pilots li-cense." That sounds crazy doesn't it? My guess is that we have all made some equally outlandish excuses. So what are we suppose to do? The Synoptic Gospel tell us that we are to love the Lord our God, with all of our heart soul, mind, and strength, and our neighbor as ourselves. The Old Testament prophet records Micah saying "what does the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, love mercy and walk humbly with you God."
Take inventory of you life, offer no excuses, and start today. You will be surprised how far you will progress in just a little while.
See you Sunday at the Father's House. Randy

Thank you to all the families that have already made me feel so welcome here at First United Methodist Church. I have enjoyed getting to meet your children while planning pro-grams and events that will encourage spiritual growth and fellowship. Easter celebration begins with our Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 26 from 10:00-12:00am in the fellowship Hall. There will be crafts, games and prizes as well as a very special guest that will help us tell the story of Easter. Lunch will be served and every family that attends will receive a special gift. Family and friends are always welcome! We will not be having SNL March the 27th, Easter Sunday. We are having the Easter Egg Hunt with SNL instead. Wednesday nights we will continue with our study on the various people God used in the Bible to do great things for the Lord and how we can be used by God in so many wonderful ways. The children would love to show you what they have learned and the next newsletter will tell you what we have in store for the month of May! I look forward to getting to meet everyone and would love to talk with you about different ideas you may have about the Children's Ministry. Thank you for allowing me the privilege of ministering to your children. Robin Gillette, Director of Children's Ministries
A Note From Dana………….. This is something to think about. It is a quote from Jonathan Ed-wards: “The redeemed are dependent of God for all. All that we have-- wis-dom, the pardon of sin, deliverance, acceptance in God's favor, grace, holiness, true comfort and happiness, eternal life and glory--we have from God by a Mediator; and this Mediator is God. God not only gives us the Mediator, and accepts His mediation, and of His power and
grace bestows the things purchased by the Mediator, but He is the Mediator. Our blessings are what we have by purchase; and the purchase is made of God; the blessings are purchased of Him; and not only so, but God is the purchaser. Yes, God is both the purchaser and the price; for Christ, who is God, purchased these blessings by offering Himself as the price of our salvation.” What a love. What a cost. Grace and Peace, Dana
