The 7:00AM start will remain in effect through Spring and Summer until Daylight Saving Time ends in the Fall. Stick around after the March 15 run for a potluck breakfast celebrating the change of seasons. Bring your favorite dish to share. Grasslands Trail Run aid station Each year RAW shows up at the Grasslands Trail Run , both to race and to sponsor an aid station. This years race is March 22nd. If you are not running, here is your opportunity to volunteer with a terrific group at a fun race. To sign up, add your name to the signup sheet at the clubhouse, or email Joe Luccioni for more info. ISW | In Step WithKathryn Gleghorn What's the history of your running "habit" ­ when didyou start? How did you progress?I started running in the 6th grade. The high school track andcross country coach was my English teacher and he had arunning program where we logged weekly miles on a posterboard on the classroom door. From there I joined the trackand cross country teams in junior high and high school. Then I just kept on running. I've run everything from aquarter mile up through the marathon distance andeverything in between. How did you find RAW and when did you join? I found RAW via their website. As we've moved around thecountry over the years checking out the local running scenehas always been part of our due diligence in researching thenew location. We moved to Texas in July of 2006 and wejoined RAW the very next month. What's your favorite place to run ­ local? ­ anywhere?My favorite place to run locally is to go right out my front doorand run through Meadowmere Park. My all time favoriteplace to run is Central Park. What day in your running career would you like to liveover again?I'd like a "do­over" on my February 2000 marathon in Austin. I ran a 4:01:56 marathon, but had I known I was so close torunning a sub 4 hour marathon I might have been able to doa few different things to shave off a minute. What's your best advice for a newbie, or any runner forthat matter?My best advice for a newbie runner is to understand that youare a runner because you run. It doesn't matter if you neverrun a race, if you don't aspire to run a marathon or if youtake the occasional walking break. Just run! RAW Gives Back Thank you to Bold in the Cold racedirectors, sponsors, volunteers,and participants, all of whomcontributed to make the race asuccess. Race Directors Sakina Vidacekand Julie Smith, along with theRAW Board are proud to announcethat a donation of $1,000 from therace proceeds has been made tothe RRCA's Kids Run The Nationprogram. We've heard plenty of positive feedback about the new digital FOOTPRINT, but we have received questions about membershiprenewal dates and membership management. Below are answers to some of the more common questions.

Since I no longer have an address label on my FOOTPRINT,how do I know my membership renewal date? Your RAWmembership details are now maintained on RunSignUp, an onlinerace and running club management program. One month prior toyour annual membership renewal date, you will receive a renewalreminder at your email address on file. The email will containinstructions on how to renew and when. What if I have never set up an account with RunSignUp? Ifyou've never set up an account with RunSignUp, your renewalemail will include instructions on how to claim your account, usingthe email address on file with RAW. Once you claim your account,you will be able to review and update any account information, suchas address, phone, and alternate email address. Can I view and update my account information prior to myrenewal date? Yes! If your email address or any other detail haschanged, you can manage your account any time by logging in toRunSignUp here. (Click on Sign In in the upper right corner.) If youdon't yet have an account, click here to enter your email addressand receive instructions on how to claim your account. Rememberto use your email address provided to RAW; you can change itonce you claim and log in to your account. (Membership renewallinks are included in every issue of FOOTPRINT as well, sokeeping your information up to date should be a breeze.)

So are you saying I can renew online only? Nope! Whilemany members prefer the convenience of renewing online, werealize you may want to renew in person. You may renew bycompleting a membership form at the clubhouse and dropping itwith your check in the dropbox on the wall near the coffeemachine. To renew by mail, click here for a printablemembership form. Paper forms are manually processed at theend of each month, so please renew early to be sure not to missan issue of FOOTPRINT. Please be sure to include your emailaddress on the membership form. I have a family membership. Can multiple family membersreceive the digital FOOTPRINT? Yes. In your RunSignUpaccount, or on your paper renewal form, be sure to include yourfamily member names and email addresses. This benefit isavailable only to members who pay for the upgrade to the familymembership. What if I don't remember the email address I provided, or ifI never provided an email address to begin with? Ifthe Claim Account process does not lead you to your RAWmembership account, please contact Diane, RAW MembershipDirector by clicking here.

RAW's Team RAWhide brings home a herd of buffalo trophies from the Haltom Stampede 5K on Feb 8 in Haltom City. THE COWTOWN 2014 During the weekend of Feb 22­23, RAW was represented in every Cowtown event. From the 5K to the 50K, RAW runners turned inimpressive performances. RAW runners celebrated several age group wins, many first time marathon and ultra finishes, and (despitethe challenging course and tricky weather) more than a few personal bests. Congratulations to everyone who "earned their spurs" atThe Cowtown 2014!
