STANLEY CUP CHAMPION: RYAN & JENNIFER WALTER Tibi Ribi alongside Jennifer & Ryan Walter, Sam Boguslavsky of Legacy Developments, Sean Maxwell partner at Blakes Law, Calvin Offereins represent the Leaderimpact organizing city team in Calgary.

No sooner did Ryan & Jennifer land in Calgary they were speaking. The first event scheduled took place in the hockey dressing room! The Calgary Northwest Flames midget AAA club hosted Ryan to come tell his story. The Power of Life Changing Groups! My name is Sean, I’ve been in one of the

groups in Calgary for over 5 years. Leaderimpact groups present a unique opportunity to gather with like-minded marketplace professionals to share and study relevant, engaging material in a low-pressure environment.  And while what we read and focus on is serious - growing and becoming better leaders at work, in the home, in church and community - we never take ourselves too seriously.  We begin and end with prayer, and in between is a great deal of laughter, as we enjoy each other's company, insights and experience. And as we believe that growth is critical to health, we constantly extend an invitation and welcome to new members to join us.

My name is Jeff, I’ve been involved a group as a member and now a leader for 4 years. What’s great about attending these weekly groups is multi-fold. I like getting to know a great group of people who have several things in common, like leaders in the business world, home life and in many cases Church. We like wanting to learn more about being better leaders, having a greater impact in your life and

the lives around you. I like helping others in their journey of discovering the relevance of faith in our professional and personal lives. Learning about leadership from a biblical perspective is a major benefit. Along with learning more about Christ, and our real purpose on this earth. Finally, I love helping, supporting, and praying for each other in the group!

I also have a strong desire to build and serve the body of Christ in the Church. One way of doing this is to have a great couple speak on marriage and relationships! Ryan & Jennifer Walter, relationship speakers for Family Life Canada, are an amazing godly couple. They shared in front of a full house in a local Church gym about love, kids, passion and commitment. The highlight of the event must have been when, Ryan & Jennifer were sharing about how they were mentored early in their relationship and how significant that was in their lives. Then all of a sudden, Ryan & Jennifer invites this mentor couple to stand up in the audience. Jean & Diane Pronovost, former hockey player with Pittsburgh and Washington then received a standing ovation...it was so awesome to see!

Talking Hockey & Faith in God! Once a hockey player, you never leave the

dressing room. Ryan Walter was invited to come and tell his hockey and life story to a group of young up and coming hockey stars. Thanks to the vision of one of the dads on the team who is involved with Leaderimpact. He organized with the coaches to open the dressing room doors and have a celebrity Stanley Cup Champion come and tell the story of what it takes to win. Ryan shared about leadership, team work, having the right mind, and about the significance of having a relationship with God. What a blessing for this Calgary’s AAA midget hockey team.

Ryan was the youngest captain with the Washington Capitals, then he was traded to Montreal. In Montreal under the coaching leadership of former player Bob Gainey, Ryan for the first time learned how to win. One story focused on how the team was locked in the team room to figure out how to communicate and work together!

That year they won the Stanley Cup! What a great experience for these young up and coming leaders!

Ministry with the Best President! When Leonard Buhler, the President of Power to Change offered to spend a day with me...I jumped at the opportunity!

The vision was to have Leonard come to Calgary and I would set up a series of meetings with a number of key influential leaders who would be encouraged, inspired and challenged to help reach people for Christ in Canada and around the world. As president and as a former business leader, Leonard is able to open doors with business leaders and has an influence to meet with executives.

The Grey Cup now resides in Calgary. The city is still celebrating the Stampeders winning. One of the key players on defense is Keon Raymond who now leads the team in all time defensive touchdown! A local Church hosted a pancake breakfast. Keon along with his young son came and shared his football experiences and his life journey with his wife and the amazing conversion story of becoming a Christian later in life as a football player. One of Keon’s passion in life is to be a faithful dad. His dad was not around growing up, so Keon wants to be married and involved with his kids lives!

Lots of Changes in the Ribi family as we Transition into Empty Nesters! This winter life with the Ribi family was all about fun!

As Bianca made it home for Christmas. We last visited with Bianca in September as she went to school in New Hampshire at Dartmouth College.

Bianca’s soccer season was a success! She stayed healthy all season, PTL! She also played in 10 of Dartmouth’s games.

As a family we wanted to spend lots of time with Bianca. So we even went to the gym with her and worked out. We also took it to the hockey rink, outdoors! Playing ice hockey is a great way to mix up the exercise and training and have lots of

fun! The hockey jerseys that you see us wearing in the picture are personally autographed by Ryan Walter (Canadiens) and Jarome

Iginla (Flames) have been sold to raise money for the ministry! Have you ever been locked out of Church on Christmas Eve?We were locked out in a full house service and had to wait till the next service...and it was worth it as we sang songs to the movie Frozen and many classic Christmas Carols! The highlight of the year has been seeing Bianca take

her faith in the Lord to a deeper level as she has joined a Bible study on Campus and has been involved with the athletes

ministry. Together we watched ‘God’s Not Dead’ movie and were so inspired to grow our faith in the Lord and influence others!
