On Saturday May 10th Royal LePage offices across Canada will be sponsoring garage sales in their local area to raise money for Women Shelters in their community.

In Nanaimo we are very fortunate to have the Haven Society. Since 1978 they have been providing services to women, children, youth and families who have experienced violence. This is very important work considering every year over 3,500 women and children in the Mid Vancouver Island area seek support to recover from physical, sexual and psychological abuse and violence. Haven Society’s programs include providing shelter, emotional support, counselling, advocacy, and most importantly a safe place to begin healing from abuse.

If you are planning on holding a garage sale this spring, we would like you to consider holding it on Saturday May 9th & Sunday May 10th and help us help the Haven Society.

Royal LePage Nanaimo Realty will provide you with signage, balloons and advertise your garage sale in the local newspapers. We will also provide a donation tin for your customers to make donation to this worthy cause. You keep all the proceeds from your sale or if you like can make a donation as well.
