FRUIT CAKE MANIAOur Pastry Chef Prae Dejmongkhun will be creating some gloriously mouthwatering fruit cakes to celebrate the month of March – including kiwi cheesecake, a most delectable, fluffy concoction made using kiwi compote, and mango Bavarian cream with coconut Sauce, which is filled with fresh puree mango, covered with coconut sauce.

CLUB QUESADILLA Moom Sabai, which is primarily open-air with panoramic views of the city, the garden or the mini pool. We recommend the Mexican-style with grilled chicken, prawns, bacon, and BBQ sauce topped with mozzarella cheese. Executive chef Surapot Inthato has just added a number of seafood creations, more bar offerings and a variety of beverage choices to the menu here. He recommends you try the prawn, salmon scallop brochette on baked garlic tomato cream sauce, the deep-fried soft shell crab crusted with sesame seeds served with pickled cucumber dip, the seafood croquettes with spicy mint yogurt and guacamole and honey tomato salsa – all of which go oh so well with Lemon Lemon Bubby.

NOTHING BUT NOODLES Chili Hip is an inspired food and drink concept using tantalizing Asian influences. The menu focusses on noodle dishes from Chef Surapot Inthato, served in different styles such as spicy buck wheat noodle salad topped with breaded New Zealand mussels, Thai-style fried noodles with grilled marinated tiger prawns en brochette, and squid ink spaghetti with sea scallop and green asparagus.

CELEBRATE THE THAI NEW YEAR WITH THE TRADITIONAL SONGKRAN FESTIVAL Centara Watergate Pavillion Hotel Bangkok invites guests to be part of the hotel’s celebration of Songkran, the traditional Thai New Year held during the first half of the month.

Khao chae or "rice soaked in water”, was adapted from a simple Mon recipe. The rice is not served and eaten on its own as we might expect, but is instead immersed in chilled jasmine-scented water that creates a truly distinctive taste. It is served only once a year and considered to be the ideal dish to enjoy during the hot weather. If you’re looking to try it this year, make sure you don’t miss out or it will be another whole year away!
