ProjectThe project aims to invent a new healthy food system for the people of Birkenhead by incorporating the understanding of public about food nutrition and healthy lifestyle. An Integrated Food Hub Project is the new proposed development of healthcare centre consists of two primary programmes which include food hub and health care area. The Urban Design Strategy proposed an interactive food preparation by using innovative food health strategy that will integrate with the future development of Wirral Waters in Birkenhead. The project introduced natural instruments for visitors to experience food preparation from healthy sources.

This project is inspired by the history of the site project itself, which is Birkenhead. The initial idea is to make Birkenhead as an established town with notable building design which serves as the landmark to its surrounding. The project developed based on the historical connection that Birkenhead possessed as one of the UK famous shipping-centre that linked it to Cammell Laird, as one of the most famous names in the British industry. Inspired by the need to preserve the aesthetic value of Birkenhead, this spectacular project namely, The Laird Academy aims to be a boundary- pushing design consisting of the Cammell Laird shipbuilding headquarters and a Maritime Engineering College.

Future Urban Car Manufacturing
Concluding the Automobile route of our Master Plan, my proposal culminates all that has been learnt along the journey and also initiates the progression in manufacturing innovative personal transport. Through progressions in manufacturing techniques and advancements in automotive technology I have designed an urbanised facility to revolutionise, produce and maintain driverless vehicles for the City of Hamburg and for the surrounding area as the potential of the facility continues to develop.

A Gridded IntensityHamburg: A Gridded Intensity is a project that represents a method of creating intensity in an area following a series of three grids from which are organised at the same orientation but at different scales. As the grids are overlaid, it allows for an intensity to build up depending on how many grids are overlapped in one area. Each of these three grids has rules to its spread and height in accordance to how the grid came about. These grids will allow for a scaffolding device to be created which will set the boundaries for the building footprint, massing, landscape and circulation.

The project is an intentional community and schoolhouse, theoretically based around the philosophical teachings of Epicurus. The project is situated around the ruins of a Benedictine Monastery and an 18th Century Neo-Gothic church. The architectural ambition is to juxtapose the ruins with new materiality and modern forms.

Anthroposophy SanctuaryRecreational, Educational and Healing Centre: The proposed scheme, in Rothenburgsort is a new recreational, educational and healing centre focussing on the methods of Rudolf Steiner’s spiritual science philosophy known as Anthroposophy: a complementary medical healing which will be offered. On site you will find spa facilities, workshop facilities, a dance studio, a natural medical laboratory, a plantation green room, temporary accommodation units, a public atrium, a cafe and bar, exhibition space, a comedy club and concert hall.

EntkommenExperience the Fairytale: This project aims to create an imaginative sense of place and memory through places to story tell, write, read or retreat with the theme of Fairy Tales. A place for locals to discover and enjoy uncovering stories through the architecture distributed in the Park. A place of reflection and a home for writers this project aims to create a Writers retreat that can be enjoyed by all. A series of routes and experiences can be had by following the tales through the dramatic landscape, sheltered by trees and located along the tranquil Elb River. Hamburg’s thriving literary scene is provided with a place to escape from the reality of city life, in which visitors can escape, experience and become the Fairytale.

The Elbe and Hamburg’s canals provide underutilised opportunities for people to withdraw from their daily lives in the busy city. The scheme is inspired by a film ‘Herr Schultz Sets Sail’, the story of Kurt Schultz who chases a dream to build a sailing boat whilst living in temporary accommodation, in 1957, on Billerhuder Insel in East Hamburg. A boat building facility is proposed to train enthusiasts and novices to build traditional timber clinker boats for use on the Bille and Elbe rivers. The focal practice of boatbuilding will become a new basis for social encounter amongst the local community.

ProjectThe project aims to forge a strong bond within the community through the medium of art and performance. In doing this, two areas were explored, one being a space for performing where people could come and see live performances, whilst the other would be a facility for people to express themselves creatively, learning new skills and forging new friendships. What this project aims to do therefore is regenerate a site which currently, is not being used to its full potential and made into a place of enjoyment and relaxation. It will provide Birkenhead with a structure that offers a unique opportunity to develop its sense of community through the art of creativity.

Market Street, “The Extension”
The Market Street expanded from narrowed existing secondary road to a new Market Street which adapted different kind of activities at the centre of Market Street Square such as food festivals, food events, food games & other potentials of food pavilions and Food & Beverage kiosks. The site is occupied by food hub, whereby localise as cold storages receiver from local product, varies of market stall with support of ‘Conveyor Belt System’, with split levels and service apartment. The Church road associated services directly towards the site location. There is an existing Mersey Ferries located at the north end which can be beneficial to the Market Street.

URBAN AGRICULTUREAfter looking the whole site of Birkenhead a Town within the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral in Merseyside, Logistic hub from the urban design is the strategy that act as a collective point for the produces connecting the whole of Wirral Agriculture Farms. Urban Farming Agriculture will be continuing catalyst for the future transformation of Birkenhead as the space into a well calibrated central of the Agriculture centre. By blending idea from the Urban Design Master Plan of Inter – Cultivation, it is envisioned to be connected, cohesive, and cooperative area in which one can live, visit, study, work, play, shop, eat and transition through. All of the time.

This Urban Retreat offers an opportunity for its inhabitants, as well as visitors to improve their mental wellbeing when utilizing the facilities on offer, with the architectural qualities of the surrounding built environment adding to the positive experience. The desire to design an urban retreat grew from the want to utilise an urban environment in an unexpected way, just as the Priory site has become to be an almost surprising element within this area of Birkenhead, hidden between Cammell Laird’s shipyard and a tangled web of industrial sheds.

The scheme aims to provide classic Volkswagen enthusiasts and car restoration devotees with the opportunity to enjoy their hobby on a larger scale whilst driving the culture. The building’s function is primarily to source abandoned and neglected Volkswagen beetle’s and to a take them through the restoration process whilst exposing the process throughout, however equally important is the social aspect of allowing fellow enthusiasts to liaise with one another and to allow the public to engage with both the process and the enthusiasts.

Monks Ferry Pool & SpaLocated in the area encompassing the historic monks ferry slipway, and within sight of the Birkenhead priory, this project aims to reinvent the relationship between the people of Birkenhead with the river Mersey. The introduction of a new landmark pool and spa set within the waterfront landscape will aim to create a sensory experience that will reconnect people to the water.

Living the golden age with a sense of dramatic installation! The project plays a fundamental role in the long-term strategy for one to experientially measures direct relations with individual freedom and spatial sharing, rules and value. The elderly has the chance to become and feel young again. The theatre operates as a part of their musical holidays where, this would be wonderful opportunity for them to stay in the theatre, learn and experience being in a play or part of the theatre crew indirectly creating a bond with the theatre community. Old and new are interwoven; the illusion of depth expressing their inner creative side reinforces them to be part of the theatre assemblage that generates a new dimension to the cultural richness of Germany.
