Remember to let your tutor know that you would like to start revising for exams—you can work out
a revision plan together.
Taster Lectures
Show enthusiasm for the subject that you would like to study at university by visiting a taster lecture. This is some-
thing that you can also write about in your personal statement. Taster lectures are also great for finding out about
your subject before you go to university, so year 13 should pay attention too...
Try out Future Learn
What is it?
Future Learn is a social place to learn 6-10 week
courses online for absolutely free.
What are the courses?
The courses are absolutely anything and all are
sponsored by different universities.
Why do it?
Be ahead of the game for when you start university or
learn something worth talking about in your personal
statement or interview.
How does it work?
You sign up to a course and read the materials, have
discussions and watch the related videos. At the end
of a week you may be quizzed on the subject and at
the end of the course you may be given a university
certificate.
If you struggle to go out to attend lectures you can also
access them online:
