Planet Ford sponsors March Super Staffers Humble ISD’s March Super Staffers of the Month were recognized at the regularly scheduled Board Meeting on March 18. Honored at the March Board Meeting were the following Super Staffers: Melanie Riggs, River Pines Elementary 4th Grade Teacher Those who nominated her said, “Melanie is constantly thinking of students (her own and others) and how we as teachers can best help them learn. She treats all students and co-workers with respect. She dedicates so much of her time to help ALL of us to succeed.” Stacey Blackshear, Testing Coordinator at Woodcreek Middle Those who nominated her said, “Stacey goes above and beyond the description of her job as the testing coordinator. While organizing the testing, training the teachers and making sure that WMS is in compliance, Stacey also is a HUGE resource for our teachers and DATA on our students. Through the monthly 'lunch and learn' in-services she conducts to help teachers to the rotations during our professional development, Stacey serves as that vital link between data and student progress. Our teachers use Stacey to keep track of the progress of each student from elementary school through their middle school years. Stacey is a huge asset to WMS.” Irene Pounds, Curriculum and Support, ISC Building Those who nominated her said: “Irene is kind, thoughtful, and takes care of everyone in the learning division. We'd be lost without her. Irene is a sweet person who is always helpful. Humble ISD is lucky to have her!” Each month, campuses and departments select an individual to be honored as a Super Staffer for their outstanding work in advancing student achievement. A drawing is held and three honorees receive additional recognition at the School Board Meeting, including a $200 gift card to Pappas Restaurant, thanks to a sponsor. The sponsor for March Super Staffer Awards is Randall Reed’s Planet Ford. Kristi Williams, of Planet Ford, presented certificates and gift cards. Randall Reed’s Planet Ford was also recognized and thanked for all that they have done for Humble ISD students and staff, including donation of a Ford Expedition to the Mosaic Program, sending 70 students in the Best Buddies Program to Disney World in June, and donation of a car to Humble ISD’s District Teacher of the Year.
