Typical example of the Italian style theater, the theater has a horseshoe shape on 4 orders and a gallery. It was inaugurated as New Theatre in 1818 by Gioachino Rossini, who directed La Gazza Ladra, and entitled to the composer in 1855. The theater, large in size and endowed with excellent acoustics, during the year hosts opera and concerts of the Rossini Opera Festival, the theater season, the National Festival of drama arts.

It was erected in 1853 on top of the bastion of the spiral ramp in Urbino. It is organized on three orders and a gallery overlooking the parterre. The lobby is decorated with two marble busts of Donato Bramante and Raphael Sanzio (whom the theater is dedicated to). The building underwent a radical restructuring between 1977 and 1982 that brought it back to the original beauty.

Located right in front of the Rocca Roveresca, dated back in the fifteenth century, the charming Teatro Apollo in Mondavio was built in the late eighteenth century and renovated in 1887. It con-sists of a U-shaped layout with three tiers of boxes. In the vault of the ceiling is a depiction of Apollo whose name is entitled the theater. It was reopened to the public in 2010 after long periods of shutdown, and hosts a lively theater season.

It is a hall theater built inside the famous Rocca Ubeldinesca, built and commissioned by Federico da Montefeltro. Its structure shows no boxes and a wooden palchettone stretching out on both sides of the hall with a balcony. The round vault is comple-tely painted with subjects freely taken from the late neo-classic repertoire where the indigo colour dominates among fluttering winged putti. One of a kind, is used for concerts and performan-ces even nowdays.

The theater, entitled in 1864 to the architect Donato Bramante, born in Urbania, is close to Palazzo Ducale. Forty-four boxes are arranged in three orders and a large gallery looking over the parterre. The painting of the ceiling depicts the four elements (air, earth, water, fire), while painted medallions with portraits of Raphael, Bramante, Ros-sini and Girolamo Crescentini Urbania alternate on the boxes. Closed for restoration in 1984, the theater was reopened to the public in 2001.

Built between 1820 and 1829 by the Hundred consorts, (wealthy citizens) it was conceived for the palla col bracciale, and for public

performances. The first opera, Aida by Verdi, debuted here only in 1921. The activities were interrupted during World War II, and resu-med only in 1967. A yearned international stage, it is endowed of an excellent visibility and natural acoustics. With about 2500 seats, 104

boxes and a stage of considerable size, hosts large productions.

The theatre Concordia was inaugurated during carnival of 1798, not in the presence of the nobles donors, rather in the presence of

the people and the Jacobins. Provided with stalls and three orders of boxes, after several improvements, in 1883 was named after

Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, famous composer born in Jesi. In 1929 the owners sold it to the City of Jesi. Reopened in 1947, since 2005

it is managed by the Fondazione Pergolesi Spontini.

Reopened in 1983 after a thorough restoration, the theater mostly maintains its original look, which dates back to 1816. Initially na-

med Triumph Theatre, in 1880 it was entitled to the famous tenor Mario Tiberini native of San Lorenzo in Campo. It is a hall theater

inside the sixteenth century Palace della Rovere; until 1812 the Pala-ce had hosted a French theater, assembled and dismantled at every

performance. Entirely made of wood, the theater has a U-shaped auditorium and two orders of boxes with overlooking gallery.

The Persiani Theatre was promoted by Monaldo Leopardi, father of the poet Giacomo, and realized by him in 1840 together with

a group of condominiums. It has a horseshoe shape on four orders of boxes and has hosted concerts and operas. Beniamino

Gigli has sung here several times. Since 1898 it is dedicated to the musician Giuseppe Persiani from Recanati. It has been restored in

2003 after a period of inactivity, bringing back its original splendor.

The Teatro delle Muse in Ancona was designed by architect Pietro Ghinelli, also designer of the Theatre of Pesaro, and was

inaugurated in 1827 with the Aureliano in Palmira and Ricciardo and Zoraida of Rossini. Originally in neoclassical style with a hor-seshoe shaped hall and four orders of boxes, it was destructed in 1943. It was reopened in 2002 completely rebuilt but mantaining

the neoclassical front, and creating a hall of more than a thousand seats with a stage of 400 sq.m.

The tour begins in the ancient Abbey of San Vincenzo al Furlo, along the Flaminia, ancient Roman road, near Acqualagna. On the same Flaminia, not far away, you can reach the Furlo pass, with its striking natural landscape, proceeding through the gallery of Roman age, carved out of the rock. The Abbey was part of a Benedictine monastery which was mentioned as early as the ninth century, then destroyed, where stay for periods great spiritual figures of that time. The Abbey was rebuilt in 1271 in Romanesque style and has arrived to us in its original structure. The interior has a high tribune which is accessed through a narrow central stairway, has a crypt with three naves with ancient capitols and an altar of the tenth century. A guided tour will ex-pose historical, religious and architectural issues that make of the Abbey still a charming and magnetic place besides its simplicity. Here, at the end of the visit, a private concert will be performed by professional musicians with music of Hildegard Von Bingen, a Holy Benedictine lived in the thirteenth century.Lunch at a qualified restaurant in Acqualagna (home of white truffle) based on local truffle. As an alternative, if possible, and with the good season, a light lunch offered by a local facility can be enjoyed in the beautiful park adjacent to the Abbey, based on typical local products, wines and/or artisan beers.

In the afternoon the group will move to the Monastery of Fonte Avellana, on the slopes of Mount Catria.
