INTRODUZIONEGrazie per aver scelto un termometro della linea GRADO by Moretti.I termometri Moretti sono stati progettati e realizzati per soddisfare tutte le vostre esigenze per un utilizzo pratico, corretto e sicuro. Questo manuale contiene dei piccoli suggerimenti per un corretto uso del dispositivo da voi scelto e dei preziosi consigli per la vostra sicurezza. Si consiglia di leggere attentamente la totalità del presente manuale prima di usare il termometro. In caso di dubbi vi preghiamo di contattare il rivenditore, il quale saprà aiutarvi e consigliarvi correttamente.
DESTINAZIONE D’USOIl termometro è uno strumento finalizzato alla misurazione della temperatura corporea
DICHIARAZIONE DI CONFORMITÀ I termometri della linea GRADO by Moretti sono conformi alla direttiva 93/42/CEE sui dispositivi medici e successive modifiche e sono prodotti secondo gli standard indicati nella norma EN 12470-3: Termometri Clinici – Parte 3 : prestazioni dei termometri elettronici portatili.
AVVERTENZE GENERALI• Per un utilizzo corretto del dispositivo fare riferimento attentamente al seguente manuale• Mantenere il prodotto imballato lontano da qualsiasi fonte di calore• Non esporre alla luce del sole per periodi prolungati • La vita utile del dispositivo è determinata dall’usura di parti non riparabili e/o sostituibili• Non permettere ai bambini di utilizzare il dispositivo senza la supervisione di un adulto• Non inserire il termometro nell’orecchio

DESCRIZIONE GENERALEI termometri digitali forniscono una lettura rapida ed accurata della temperatura corporea di un individuo. Questo termometro è stato sviluppato per uso rettale, orale e ascellare. Il presente dispositivo reca il marchio CE0197 secondo la normativa europea dei Dispositivi Medici. Il prodotto non è soggetto ad obblighi di calibratura anche se sottoposto al controllo di qualità conforme alla direttiva CEE 93/42Vista ed elenco delle parti:
AVVERTENZE PER L’UTILIZZO• Non piegare o far cadere il termometro• Non sterilizzare la sonda con acqua bollente• Non smontare il termometro, aprire solo per sostituire la pila secondo le istruzioni di questo manuale• Il termometro deve essere usato sotto il controllo di adulti. Evitare che i bambini rimuovano il coperchio della batteria, al fine di non incorrere in ingestioni di piccole parti• Evitare di usare il termometro in presenza di forti campi elettromagnetici generati da apparecchiature elettriche come forni a microonde o telefoni cellulari
TEMPERATURA CORPOREA La temperatura corporea può variare da 36.1°C a 37.2°C La temperatura generalmente considerata “normale” è 37.0°CSolitamente la temperatura è più bassa al mattino che nel pomeriggio. La temperatura “normale” varia a seconda dell’ambiente dove viene effettuata la misurazione. Mentre la temperatura orale segue quanto sopra scritto, la temperatura rettale è generalmente più alta di 0.5°C; al contrario la temperatura ascellare sarà inferiore a 0.5°C
MODALITÀ D’USOMisurazione della temperatura 1. Premere il pulsante On/Off al lato del display2. Il termometro emetterà un segnale acustico e il display mostrerà dopo di che visualizzerà l’ultima temperatura misurata e successivamente la temperatura di autotest3. Il display mostrerà Lo °C e il simbolo °C inizierà a lampeggiare4. La misurazione della temperatura comincia non appena il termometro è esposto al calore del corpo

5. Il simbolo °C continuerà a lampeggiare fino al completamento della misurazione6. La misurazione è terminata quando il termometro emetterà un segnale acustico ripetuto7. Premere il pulsante On/Off perspegnere il termometro. In caso di mancato spegnimento, il termometro si spegnerà automaticamente N.B Se la temperatura è inferiore a 32°C, il display mostrerà Lo, se la temperatura supera i 42,9°C il display mostrerà H Metodi di misurazioneCi sono tre modi per misurare la temperatura del corpo. A seconda del metodo prescelto si possono verificare le differenze nella misurazione della temperatura1. Misurazione orale: posizionare il termometro sotto la lingua come indicato in figura. Tenere la bocca chiusa e respirare attraverso il naso, per non alterare la misurazione
2. Misurazione ascellare: posizionare il termometro sotto il braccio in modo che il sensore sia a contatto con la pelle. Mantenere il termometro parallelo al corpo e posizionare il braccio sul torace. Ciò assicura che il sensore non sia a contatto con l’aria della stanza3. Misurazione rettale: la lettura della febbre rettale deve essere effettuata quando è impossibile o difficile effettuare una misurazione orale o ascellare. Inserire il sensore nel retto per massimo 1-2 cm
Sostituzione delle batterie1. Sostituire le batterie quando il termometro mostra il simbolo-----2. Rimuovere delicatamente il coperchio sull’estremità superiore del termometro3. Con l’aiuto di un oggetto appuntito rimuovere la pila esausta. Sostituirla con una pila a bottone 1.5DC4. Riposizionare il coperchio in plastica sull’estremità superiore del termometro
MANUTENZIONEI dispositivi della linea GRADO by Moretti al momento dell’immissione in commercio sono controllati accuratamente e provvisti di marchio CE.Per la sicurezza del paziente e del medico si raccomanda di far controllare dal produttore o da un laboratorio autorizzato, almeno ogni 2 anni, l’idoneità all’uso del vostro prodotto. In caso di riparazione devono essere utilizzati soltanto ricambi ed accessori originali.
PULIZIA E DISINFEZIONEPuliziaPer la pulizia del prodotto è sufficiente usare un panno umido. DisinfezioneSe è necessario effettuare una disinfezione del prodotto utilizzare del cotone idrofilo imbevuto di alcool isopropilico.N.B. Evitare assolutamente di utilizzare prodotti acidi, alcalini o solventi come ad esempio l’acetone o il diluente.
CONDIZIONI DI SMALTIMENTOCondizioni di smaltimento generaliIn caso di smaltimento del dispositivo non usare mai i normali sistemi di conferimento dei rifiuti solidi urbani. Si raccomanda invece di smaltire il dispositivo attraverso le comuni isole ecologiche comunali per le previste operazioni di riciclo dei materiali utilizzati.
AVVERTENZE PER IL CORRETTO SMALTIMENTO DEL PRODOTTO AI SENSI DELLA DIRETTIVA EUROPEA 2002/96/EC:Alla fine della sua vita utile il prodotto non deve essere smaltito insieme ai rifiuti urbani. Può essere consegnato presso gli appositi centri di raccolta differenziata predisposti dalle amministrazioni comunali, oppure presso i rivenditori che forniscono questo servizio. Smaltire separatamente il prodotto consente di evitare possibili conseguenze negative per l’ambiente e per la salute derivanti da un suo smaltimento inadeguato e permette di recuperare i materiali di cui è composto al fine di ottenere un importante risparmio di energie e di risorse. Per rimarcare l’obbligo di smaltire separatamente le apparecchiature elettromedicali, sul prodotto è riportato il marchio del contenitore di spazzatura mobile sbarrato.
TRATTAMENTO DELLE BATTERIE ESAUSTE - (Direttiva 2006/66/CE):Questo simbolo sul prodotto indica che le batterie non devono essere considerate come un normale rifiuto domestico. Assicurandovi che le batterie siano smaltite correttamente contribuisce a prevenire potenziali conseguenze negative per l’ambiente e per la salute che potrebbero altrimenti essere causate dal loro inadeguato smaltimento.Il riciclaggio dei materiali aiuta a conservare le risorse naturali. Conferire le batterie esauste presso i punti di raccolta indicati per il riciclo. Per in formazioni più dettagliate circa lo smaltimento delle batterie esauste o del prodotto potete contattare il Comune, il servizio locale di smaltimento rifiuti oppure il negozio dove avete acquistato l’apparecchio.

INTRODUCTIONThank you for purchasing GRADO by Moretti S.p.A. product range. This user’s manual provides some suggestions as how to correctly use the product you have chosen and gives some valuable advice for your safety. Please read through the manual carefully before using the product. Should you have any queries, please contact your retailer for advice and assistance.In case of doubts, we recommend to contact the dealer who can help and advice you properly.
INTENDED USEThe thermometer is an instrument designed to measure body temperature
DECLARATION OF CONFORMITYThe GRADO thermometers by Moretti S.p.A complies with directive 93/42/EEC, medical devices and further modifications and complies with EN 12470-3: Clinical thermometers. Part 3: performance of compact electrical thermometers.

GENERAL DESCRIPTIONThe digital thermometers provide a fast and accurate reading of the body temperature.They have been designed for rectal, oral and axillary measurementsThe device bears the mark CE0197 according to the European regulation for Medical Devices. The device isn’t subject to the calibration obligation though a quality control in accordance with directive 93/42/EEC

HOW TO USE• Do not bend, drop the thermometer• Do not boil probe to disinfect• Do not disassemble, except in case of battery replacement• The thermometer should only be used under the supervision of an adult. Prohibit children from biting, hitting and removing the battery cover, dislodging and potentially swallowing the battery• Do not use the device in case of strong electromagnetic field such as microwave oven or cell phoneBODY TEMPERATUREBody temperature can vary from 36.1°C to 37.2°C. The generally accepted “normal” temperature is 37.0°C. Usually your temperature is lower in the morning than in the afternoon. Normal temperature varies according to the location of the temperature reading. While oral temperature follows the guidelines previously described, rectal temperature is generally 0.5°C higher. Conversely, axillary temperature will be 0.5°C lower HOW TO USEMeasure the temperature 1. Press On/Off button2. You will hear a beep and the screen will display , then will display the last reading and then the autotest temperature 3. Finally the screen will display Lo°C and the symbol °C start flashing4. The thermometer will start to measure the temperature as soon as it is exposed to body heat5. The °C symbol will continue to flash until completion of the temperature taking process6. After the measurement, the thermometer will emit a sequence of acoustiv signals7. Push On/Off button to turn the unit off. If you do not turn off the unit, it will switch off automatically NOTE If the measured temperature is less than 32°C the screen will display Lo, if the measured temperature is higher than 42.9°C the screen will display Hi

Method of measurementThere are three methods of measuring body temperature. Slight temperature differences may occur depending on the method of measurement1. Oral measurement: using the diagram, place the probe tip under the tongue as near as possible to the heat pocket. Close your mouth and breathe evenly through the nose to prevent the measurement from being influenced.
2. Axillary measurement: the thermometer should be placed under the arm so the probe tip is touching the skin. Hold the thermometer parallel to the body and position the arm on the chest so the tip is well covered by the arm. This insures the probe is not affected by the room’s air.3. Rectal measurement: rectal temperature should be taken when is impossible or impractical to take oral or axillary temperature. The probe should be inserted a maximum of 1-2 cm.
Replace the battery1. The battery should be replaced when the screen display 2. Pull battery cover off as shown in Fig.3. Use pointed object such as a pen to remove old battery. Replace with new 1.5DC button type4. Position the battery cover on the thermometer
MAINTENANCEThe GRADO devices by Moretti S.p.A are checked carefully and supplied with EC mark, once launched on the market.For patient and physician’s safety we recommend to let check the device by the manufacturer or by laboratory authorized every 2 years.In case of repair, use only original spare parts and accessories.

CONDITIONS OF DISPOSAL
- General conditions of disposalIn case of disposal don’t use the inserting container for municipal waste. We recommend to dispose the thermometer in the appropriate disposal areas for recycling.
TREATMENT OF BATTERIES (Directive 2002/96/EC) At the end of its life, the product must not be disposed of along with other domestic waste. The users must dispose of this equipment by bringing it to a specific recycling point for electric and electronic equipment or at retailers that provide this service. By ensuring these batteries are disposed of correctly, you will help prevent potentially negative consequences for the environment and human health which could otherwise be caused by inappropriate waste handling of the battery. To remark the need to dispose of electrical equipment separately, the products is marked with crossed mobile waste binthe product bears the barred bin symbol.
DISPOSAL OF WASTE BATTERIES (Directive 2006/66/Ec)This symbol on the battery or on the packaging indicates that the battery provided with this product shall not be treated as household waste. By ensuring these batteries are disposed of correctly, you will help prevent potentially negative consequences for the environment and human health which could otherwise be caused by inappropriate waste handling of the battery The recycling of the materials will help to conserve natural resources. At the end of their life hand the batteries over to the applicable collection points for the recycling of waste batteries. For more detailed information about recycling of this product or battery, please contact your local Civic Office, your household waste disposal service or the shop where you purchased the product.
