Where does the Band perform? Football Games Competitions Parades Pep Rallies Community Events
Roseville Memorial Day ParadeMonday, May 25th All students (including Pit) will march in the parade with their band instrument. Report to the Roseville Post Office at 10:15 a.m. You need to provide your own
transportation. Students must bring their own instruments unless they play percussion, tuba or Color Guard.
Students need to wear their band polo, black shorts, and (black)tennis shoes/marching shoes. Students who do not already have black uniform shorts may wear a pair that they already
own or purchase. Remember, students will need to have shorts to wear under the band uniform.
After the parade, there is a short ceremony. Once the ceremony is over and the equipment is loaded, the directors will dismiss the students. Students will be dismissed at APPROXIMATELY 11:45 a.m.
Don’t forget, the forms and a $50 band camp deposit is due by this day. If you cannot pay by this date, we will accept it by the end of school. Pit members’ $50 will be applied to the uniform fee..

Band CampOhio Wesleyan University, July 19th -24th The band camp fee of $200 covers room & board for 5
nights and 6 days. A $50 deposit is due by the Memorial Day Parade (End of
School) to hold your place at band camp. If you cannot pay by then, we will accept it by the end of school.
Remainder of fee is due upon departure to band camp on July 19th.
Pit does not have to attend band camp because they will not be marching in the formations in the competition show. Band camp primarily focuses on the marching component of
the competition show. Pit members’ deposits will go towards the uniform fee.
August (After Band Camp) Full Band
Finish setting competition show on field, work on pre-game and half-time music/sets
T-Th 7/28-30, 8/4-6, 8/11-13 5:00-9:00 p.m.Pit practices on Wed. & Th. of those weeks.
Chandlersville Parade: Saturday, August ?? Fair Performance: Sunday, August 16th
No practice the week of the fair! Meet the Team: TBA (Probably Aug. 22nd)
After School Rehearsals Once school starts, Marching Band practices
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday after school. Pit practices Monday & Thursday 2:30-5:30 p.m. No practice on Tuesdays! A great time to
schedule appointments!
Attendance Every member of the Marching Band is a vital part of the
group. No one can fill your spot on the field or part in the music. Each
part is unique! For this reason, it is very important to be at all rehearsals and
performances! If you must miss a rehearsal, you must fill out an absence
form 24 hours in advance. Absences due to illness must have a doctor’s excuse. You must see the director to make up material that was missed
while you were absent. It is your responsibility to contact the director. Think of it as making up homework!
If you have not made up the missing material, you will lose band privileges. (3rd quarter, bus seating, meal seating)
Uniform Information & Procedures
Uniforms Summer uniform: band polo, black uniform shorts, marching
shoes, and short black socks We will order all parts of the uniform for you! New members will need a pair of black gym shorts to wear under your
full marching uniform AND can be used until the black uniform shorts come in.
Marching Uniform: Band Uniform and hat, marching shoes, LONG black socks, black gloves, shorts, and black t-shirt.
Fee is $65 and covers: band polo, black uniform shorts, marching shoes, short and long black socks, black gloves, and dry cleaning. If you already own some of these items, your fee will be lower!
Previous members may purchase new polos, shorts, and shoes, but must pay for socks, gloves, and dry cleaning.
Fee is due by the first day of school on August 24th.

charms. We will go over the charms program
later in the presentation.

Lyres & Flippies Flippies organize and hold the music . Lyres attach the music to the instrument. Lyres are $5 Flippies are $5 Some instruments are only available as
a lyre/flippy combo. Extra pages are .50 each
