Mr. Burnside’s preferred style of universal design, and the culture of the Bahamas are to be incorporated into the suitable areas of his loft and rentable apartments. True Bahamas island culture will be conveyed in the loft using accents of color among more neutral colors. Just as the bright, festive, tribal culture contrasts the peaceful white sands and blue waters of the beach, the high chroma colors juxtaposed with the subtle neutrals will also create a visual contrast in the interiors. The use of warm natural lighting and the highest quality f inishes, furnishings, and products, will create a relaxing and inviting environment.

Kauslauskus RenovationJack and Mary Kauslauskas are converting their basement into a separate living area for their mother, Edita. Edita would like an accessible kitchen with a small sitting area, and an accessible combined bathroom and laundry room. The Kauslauskas are going to incorporate natural elements to create a sleek, modern design. The basement is to be redesigned to accompany all of her needs, ref lect her Lithuanian heritage and incorporate a mid-century modern aesthetic.
