Social Innovation, Collaboration, Synergy
• Social innovation is a process in which new ideas aregenerated that not only meets social or economic needs ,but also creates new social relationships andcollaborations (Murray et al., 2010).
•
Collaboration implies creating solutions or strategies, oftenfor very complex, "messy" problems, through thesynergistic interactions of a group of people (Denning andYaholkovsky 2008).
• Synergy represents a dynamic process , involves adaptation
and learning , creates an integrated solution , entails jointaction by many in which the total effect is greater than thesum of the effects when acting independently. (Harris,2004)
