This film has provoked a great deal of interest among allteenagers. The film is based on the book written by JohnBoyne. The plot takes place in Auschwiz, Germany. A periodof history when Hitler was exterminating all german jews.Jews were sent to concentration camps where they werekilled. The main character moves next to one of those campsand meets a very interesting boy.

The boy in the striped pyjama is a mixture between dramaand war genre. It is a fascinating film because it shows howthe jewish extermination happens from the child's point ofview. It's only possible drawback is that you may not like

the way it ends.

With a PG rating it is a marvelous film that both teenagersand adults will enjoy.

Seven Pounds

This is a film made by the director of “The Pursuit Of Apiñes”

and placed by the same starring actor, Will Smith, who has

been nominated twice for an oscar. The story focuses on an

unhappy man who has made several mistakes throughout his

life and has an odd secret. Due to this, he sees himself

obliged to carry out a plan in order to try to change thelives of seven strangers. However, life gets tougher when he

falls in love with one of them and he pays less attention to

the other ones, who are united by a common theme, the des-

perate need of help.

Seven Pounds is a dramatic film which expresses different

kinds of fears, such as death, love and relationships with

strangers. It is a plot-driven film and

has a marvellous development and description of the maincharacters. Furthermore, the part of the film related to

Emily (the woman Ben (Will Smith) falls in love with) is ex-

tremely realistic and enjoyable. However, there might be

one clear drawback. Despite being a dramatic film, at some

points the description of the circumstances are developed

to an extent that they hardly allow you to imagine thee

story as you would like it to be, as it becomes too straight-forward.

Rated PG-13, this is a perfect film for teenagers or adults to

watch alone or with their partner, due to its sensitivity.

This is a film in which racism is very closed hand

due to the main character. The story is based on the

life of an ex-soldier, (Clint Eastwood) a veteran

that he has racist thoughts towards his new neigh-

bours, a group of Koreans that have just moved

into the neighbourhood.

Gran Torino is a drama in which the veteran is verywell characterised by a great performance by Clint

Eastwood. Despite being a dramatic film, the

comedy plays an impor

tant role since the language used by Clint East-

wood is very funny,

However, this film is not recommended for people

under eighteen due to some violent scenes.

This film has made a very big impression

on those who have seen it; it has definitely

brought light into the film industry, because

it is a very original film, based on something

story is set in New Orleans in the south of

the U.S.A, where people try to survive with-

out breaking the laws, a dream, almost never

achieved. Everything begins when, Benjamin

Button is born, but instead of being young

and healthy he is an old and weak baby

whose life is back to front.

The curious case of Benjamin Button

is a dramatic and unusual film, in which it is

difficult to find negative aspects. We can

say; this film is the best one Brad Pitt has

ever made, also Cate Blanchette gives a very

good performance, in this David Fincher film.

The children of Huang Shi

This film has caused a lot of impact both because of

the story it tells and because of the great perform-

ance of the actors. The story represents the life of

George Hogg (Rhys Meyers), who is a war journalist

and ends up in charge of an orphanage among the

heartbreak of the war between China and Japan, in

the 30s.

"The children of Huang Shi" is a dramatic war film

in which characters, mostly George Hogg demon-

strate a great deal of kind-heartedness, bravery

and humility. The hard-hitting development of thefilm way be a drawback for some spectators.

With a MPAA rating and full of drama and war,

this is a very enjoyable film that will open our eyes

to the dark side of life.

This is a film which has made me think about life

and the future. The story is based in the lives of a

group of boys in a private and expensive school. It is

a very realistic film because it talks about realistic

elements of life.

The Dead Poets Society is a dramatic film. Neil

wanted to be an actor but his father, who could notdo what he wanted to when he was young, wants

Neil to be a doctor. Mr. Keating, Neil’s teacher, told

him to decide his future and do what he really likes

and loves. But his father insists on him studying

medicine so he committed suicide. The only draw-

back of the film is the sad end that has.

With a Pg rating this dramatic film is a perfect film

for teenagers life is.

ances and it’s genuinely interesting seeing their off

screen chemistry on the big screen.

Due to the language used in the film and some sex

scenes people fewer than 18 can’t see it.

The Wave

The Wave is a recent film, it is special because it

reflects in a very clear way problems of society

that we can appreciate nowadays. The story is

based on a group of students who start by forming

an excellent group dynamic, start having problems

because of the obsession they have with this dy-

namic, which turns to be far from positive. The film

turns into a drama.

The Wave is a realistic film with lots of important

points shown in an outstanding way. Despite hav-

ing little known actors, it is still an interesting

dramatic film. The only possible drawback to this

film are some of the strong points the spectator

has to recover from. At the end of the film, there

are some unexpected surprises.

With a PG rating it is a perfect film to watch withyour family or friends.

no longer habitable and only one robot is left in New York

City. His name is Wall-E and he is in charge of cleaning the

whole city. So he spends all his time doing his job withouthesitation until he fells in love with another new robot. Her

name is Eva and she is sent by the humans from a spaceship

with a mission: find a sign of any vegetation.

Wall-E is an amusing animation full of visuals gags mixed

with a really original script. Wall-E, the main character,

will soon meet your love

not only for the good person he is, but also for his great

sense of humour brought to us by Disney and Pixar studios.

The film that provoked a lot of controversy

actors and atmosphere. Anna, George and their son

have gone out to their summer country house on

Burn After Reading

This film has been highly rated because of its great cast

and its funny plot. The story begins with two FBI busi-

nessmen talking about a crime case, which is com-

pletely incoherent and is as weird as some of the char-

acters themselves.

Burn After Reading is an unpredictable comedy, full of

typical visual gags that belong to the ever-loved

American comedy film industry. The cast includes suchstars as George Clooney and Brad Pitt, who give ex-

tremely good performances. However, the only down-

side is the end as it is not very clear because of the

film’s quick pace

This film is suitable for everybody as there is not too

much action or violence in the plot itself, and it is rec-

ommendable for the characters’ excellent perform-

ance and the curious storyline

Sex and the city

This is a film which acts as the final point to the TV se-

ries which had the same name. The story is about agroup of 35-40 year old women who live in New York

who always meet to talk about their affairs with men.

Sex and the City is a romantic comedy with lots of

funny dialogue but also sad scenes where women’s af-

fairs don’t go the way they hoped. In fact the film and

the TV series reflect situations that every woman can

be related to but with humor. It also reflects the great

friendship that unites these four women.

With a 13 rating and both romance and comedy, this

light-hearted plot, designed to amuse, will leave the TV

series followers with a satisfied sensation because ofits ending.

The Dark Knight

The second part of the new Batman films di-

rected by Christopher Nolan includes the spectacularperformance by Heath Ledger in his role as the Joker.

The film begins with Batman associated with Jim Gor-

don, the chief of the police of Gotham, and also with

Harvey Dent, who is played by Aaron Eckhart, together

they for a triumvirate in order to stop the Mafia lead

by the Joker.

The Dark Knight is a dramatic action film with

plenty of action and a very good plot supported by a ver

good script. Heath Ledger, who died in February of 2008,recently won an Oscar for his role as this shadowy

villain. It is also genuinely interesting seeing the inter-

pretation of excellent actors like Christian Bale, Mor-

gan Freeman and Maggie Gyllenhaal as Rachel Daws.

It is a marvellous and adult film that can be

considered as one of the best films of the decade be-

cause of its magic and because of the charisma of Bat-

man series.

The pink panther 2

This film was obviously succeeding those who like

comedies, is based on a detective who is very clumsy. The

detective (Steve Martin) is constantly doing silly

things and making funny mistakes and his assistant is

always trying to help him not making so many mistakes

and solving successfully his cases.

The pink panther is a comedy with lost of opportunites

for one-liners and visual gags. It has got funny dia

logue. Steve Martin gives the film a fresh humor andit’s genuinely interesting seeing its ability to make

really funny jokes. I think he acts really well in this

film. It suits him a lot.

film designed for pure audience escapism. The possible

drawback is you don’t like the films with a spectacularrhythm. But if you are an action fan, this is the one for

you!

This is a perfect film to watch on a rainy

Saturday as long as you are over thirteen as it is PG-13

rated.

Watchmen Based on a popular comic from the 80s, watchmen has

provoked a great deal of interest in comic fans.

Watchmen is a big budget film like 300, both directed by

the same director (Zack Snyder). Watchmen is set in

1985 when a retired member of the watchmen is myste-

riously murdered and his body is discovered by a vigi-

lante named Rorschach who tries to solve the crime.

This will involve him saving the planet from extinction.

Watchmen is an action, crime, sci-fi film which will

captivate you until it ends and it will bring you to a

fantastic world which could end in nuclear havoc. The

only possible drawback is the duration of the film (163

minutes) which can make the film a bit too long and

also will be difficult for the director to make a trilogy.

Rated R for full frontal nudity, sexuality, profanityand graphic violence its not recommended for children.

Transporter 3

Transporter 3 is the last film of the Trans-

porter Trilogy. The film has provoked a great deal ofinterest as much of who the starring actor is (Jason

Statham) as far for the film itself. Frank Martin, the

ex-transporter, is forced to take up his old job again.

He has to go to Odessa and take a mysterious girl with

his package.

Transporter three is a non-stop motion film

with many stunts, escapes explosions and overall, car-

chases. One more, Jason Statham plays his role very

well as Frank Martin. The best feature of this film isundoubtedly its car stunts and car-chases. Its

P.S: I love you is a romantic drama that at some point

makes you feel very sad, but also makes you think about

death. It shows us that our life doesn't finish when a

friend or a familyar member dies.

This film is perfect for those who love romantic films,

but in an unusual way.

This is a film which has had a great relevante in the $th

year, as much because we have read the book as for its

cultural content in language. The story is based on the

live of a veteran spanish soldier called Diego Alatriste.

During the film, we are shown the different problemsthat Alatriste, with his page, Iñigo de Balboa have to

deal with. This film is set in the 17th century.

Alatriste is a historic action film which is very attrac-

tive for people who like history and epic titles. It

clearly portrays the 17th century and it is very inter-

esting for people who want to know what the way of

life was like at that time. The only possible drawback is

that perhaps the film is very long and that sometimes it

is difficult to follow.

CHE, a revolutionary life

This is a film which has provoked a great deal of inter-

est obviously because of the starring actor (Benicio del

Toro) who is identical to Che in real life. There are two

parts in the film. Part one is called Che, the argentin-

ian, who helps Fidel Castro to start a cuban revolution,

which succeeds. But the second part, called Che guer-

rilla focuses on starting a revolution in Bolivia, with-

out having many people to support them and without

having enough resources to survive in the jungle and

fighting against the bolivian soldiers.

Che, a revolutionary life is an historic war film whichreally demonstrates the politic tensions and conflicts

present in those times between a country and rebel-

lions of the people. It is also very interesting seeing the

main actor so identical to the figure of the Che. The

only possible drawback to the film are some parts

which concern the United States that are no t very

clear in demonstrating their function in what may be

an international conflict.
