Chapter 1: A dangerous investigation.

Anthony is a

tall, dark and

brown-eyed

man.He Lives

in a big city

called

Cambridge and

he is a famous

detective.

One rainy day

Tom, a neighbour who lived next to an

abandoned house,knocked at Anthony's

door and said:

“Good afternoon”

“Good afternoon Tom, can I help you?”,

Anthony said.

“I have been hearing noises coming from an

abandoned house next to mine”, said Tom.

“What type of noises?”, asked Anthony.

“Beats, footsteps and strange noises...”,

Tom answered.

“The only thing I can do is investigate”,

said Anthony.

“Okay, thank you! Let me know if you need

my help”, said Tom.

“Goodbye! I'll have you informed”, said

Anthony.

“Goodbye!”, said Tom.

Anthony was thoughtful. Half an hour later

he went to see the abandoned house.

Anthony left the office and took his coat

and hat and left the house. He took his

car, a black Mercedes, and went to Tom's

house.

Anthony parked the car and went to Tom's

house, knocked on the door and Tom came

out.

“What are you doing here?”, Tom said.

“I come to see the house you told me

about.” Anthony said.

“That makes me happy, what do you

know?”, Tom asked.

“I want to know where the house is

located”, Anthony answered.

“It's right behind mine.” Do you want to

come with me ?”, Tom asked.

“No, I prefer to go alone. Give me your

phone number and I´ll tell you when I

finish.” said Anthony.

“Ok, my number is :722111511”, said Tom.

“Goodbye!”,said Anthony.

“Goodbye!”,said Tom.

Chapter 2: The abandoned house.

Anthony started to

walk towards the

abandoned house, it

was raining heavily.

When he got to the

house...

The house had a

spoiled garden and it

was very dirty, he

came to the door but

it was closed, he wanted to go inside, he

pushed it and opened it slowly. He went into

the house, there was a very large hall.

There were a lot of pictures hanging on the

walls, it didn't make sense, he started to

walk the hall. While he was walking, he

watched from side to side, it had big doors.

At the end of the hall there were some

stairs. When he started to go up the

stairs, they started to creak, when he

reached the top he saw a strange room.

He went into it; he was surprised.

He found a small chest on a dresser, it

contained a note that said: “ Do not open”.

Then, he also noticed a small key hanging on

the wall. He tried the key in the padlock…It

fit perfectly!

Chapter 3:The Chest.

Anthony opened the box and found a photo.

It was old. He removed some of the dust

and saw the image of an old woman , he

put it in his pocket and went down the

stairs , which creaked again. Suddenly, he

started to hear noises. Everything was

dark. When he came to the kitchen he

found a girl, both were scared. They looked

at each other and Anthony asked:

-”What´s your name?”

-“My name is Wendolyn. Who are you?”

-”I`m Anthony”,he replied. “What are you

doing here?”, he asked.

-”And you? What are you doing here?”,

asked Wendolyn.

-“I have come to investigate , a neighbour

called me because he heard strange noises”,

Anthony answered.

-“What noises?”, Wendolyn asked.

-“Voices , hitting , slamming...

But what are you doing here?”, Anthony

said.

-“I am the owner of this house,my mother

has died recently, while I was abroad. Now

I`m here again” , said Wendolyn.

-“Sorry , I have to come back home now,

it`s late. Goodbye, I`ll be back tomorrow”,

Anthony said.

-“Goodbye , remember to take the key if

I`m not home”,Wendolyn said.

Chapter 4:The investigation

The next day,Anthony went to investigate

back to the house. When he came into it,

he saw something strange, it was a shadow

on top of the house.

-”Wendolyn,are you there ?”,Anthony

asked. But nobody answered, he went

upstairs and heard a noise in the room of

the chest. there was something written on

the wall. Anthony read:”You should not have

opened this chest.”

Suddenly, he turned and saw someone...

-”You scared me,”said Anthony.

-”Have you entered this room before?”

-”No,this was a dresser that my mother

had”, Wendolyn said.

Anthony told her what had happened

before,but suddenly he heard noises

downstairs.

-”What was that ?”,said Wendolyn.

-”I don’t know.Go downstairs”, answered

Anthony.

She went down and saw a bright light.

Wendolyn felt completely paralyzed.

Anthony took her by the hand and left

the room quickly. When they were at

Anthony's house,Wendolyn recovered and

said: ”You are not going to believe me,but

that light prevented you see something.

It was my mother. The ghost of my

mother!”

Chapter 5:The photo

In the afternoon,Wendolyn and Anthony

went back to Wendolyn's house.While they

were walking Anthony wondered If Wendolyn

was telling the truth. When they arrived

they went into the house slowly and

stealthily, they looked around the house but

there wasn't anything or anyone. They went

to the living room and they sat on a sofa.

They were speaking about what had

happened. Suddenly, they heard some

sounds in the kitchen again…

-”Go behind me !”, Anthony said.

-”Immediately”,Wendolyn replied. They

saw a light, it was an oven, there were

twelve biscuits in the oven, they. There was

a woman sitting on a chair. Her face was

pale.

Anthony:-”Who are you ?”

Wendolyn:-”She is my mother”.

Ghost:-”Excuse me, I didn't want to

frigthen you, but before I go to bed, I

have to give you something. Young, can you

give her the picture that you found”.

Anthony:-”Yes, of course”.

Ghost:”- Wendolyn, look behind the

picture”.

Wendolyn loked the back side of the

picture. She saw something written on it:

”Love daugther, this picture was done while you were abroad. When I knew that I had a mortal illness. I couldn't tell you anything because I was in bed, so I left you this chest with the picture for you. It has a memento of me, your mother. Marie, I love you.” When she finished reading it

there wasn't anything, there

were only some biscuits and a picture that

said: Goodbye.
