ReliabilityOur main focus is to provide reliable marine logistics

services to clients in the shipping and off-shore indus-try. With our basis in the Scandinavian shipping culture

and wide experience in the field, we are well situated to serve demanding clients all over the world.

The cumulated experience of our very competent op-erations department gives us great flexibility and puts us in a position to give our clients sound advice in the

most demanding areas of the world.

With a systemised approach and a very capable global

network, we can offer a reliable solution to any logistic challenge.

SYSTEMIZED and FLEXIBLEIn order to stay innovative and to maintain our transverse way

of working, a flexible bespoke operation/administration system is required. Our in-house developed software (ITS) secures that your requirements are all met.

Although a high level of systemization in shipping is a growing

necessity in every aspect, we smoothly adapt to all individual transport handling procedures in different countries and regions - whenever they change.

We are even offering different administrative system setups to clients with special needs - depending on the nature of their business, purchase and trading pattern etc. All in order to con-trol the transport costs in all phases - and to secure that spare parts are delivered on time to each and every vessel.

Experience Extensive experience is one of our major advantages. This en-ables us to deliver the quality and reliability that our customers

require. The overall experience of our operations department is

formidable. No one has less than ten years of specialist experi-ence with marine logistics, and most of us have more than 20 years. This allows us to provide continuity and quality in our

services that are hard to match. We can offer reliable service to the most demanding customers in the most challenging places

in the world - and we deliver every time.

Order ManagementAiming for the highest possible success rate, we are investing a lot of time in the pre planning process. By carefully analysing our client´s spare parts

purchases - and by chasing the necessary information related to each and every purchase, we are well prepared for any forwarding challenge even before anything is on hand. Information about locations, measure-ments, weight, special information, customs status are noted, evaluated and entered in our system throughout the day - in order to secure the next important steps. Coordination of pick ups from suppliers and manufactures

to our warehouses is always arranged the most economical way depend-ing on urgency.

Scenario Planning By having an awareness of the general trading patterns of our client´s vessels

- along with monitoring the vessels positions, we are able to optimise the marine logistics from good to great. The actual transportations of spares

are always arranged and carried out based on mutual agreements be-tween Trans-it and our clients. In order to limit the general costs, we usu-ally consolidate and combine shipments as much as possible, whenever the time frame allow us to do so. In respect to all clients, we always chose 1st class carriers and co-operators in our network. Prior to any arrange-ment, we support our clients with a cost advise in accordance with our saying: “no hidden costs - no hidden facts”.

Port ActivitiesControlling “the last mile” has always been an important issue concerning the delivery of spare parts. One side of the task is the physical onboard delivery, which usually requires an in depth knowledge about local regulations and

procedures. Another side of the task is to control the money flow and the transparency of same. Our way of working is to smoothly bypass the charter’s

agent - in order to avoid some non-transparent indirect expenses suddenly to appear months after completion of a job. We are only utilising the services

of our own nominated agents - protecting the ship owners and the ship managers interests in every aspect.
