School’s out! What’s next?

FIRST ITEM ON THE POST-GRADUATION AGENDA:

Party time, obviously! Maybe some traveling, some time to chill… After that? Oh yeah, let’s see. Well, what do you want to do for the rest of your life? At some point, we all have to get down to business.

For many high school grads, college is the logical next step. But as your mom used to say, just because everyone else is doing it, doesn’t mean you should, too! Not everyone is cut out for (or wants) a traditional college education. Not that there’s anything wrong with that! But why spend four years just to find out you took a wrong turn somewhere?

A four-year college degree does not automatically lead to employment. Plus, there’s no need to wait that long just to see which direction you want to go in life. Vocational schools offer an alternative for those seeking a faster, more direct path to a rewarding career. In fact, you could start training for your dream job right after high school.

If you love what you do, does it count

as work?

A CAREER DOESN’T NECESSARILY HAVE TO FEEL LIKE WORK.

What if work was something you loved to do? Vocational school is not only about training to launch a career (as important as that is) — it’s about finding your calling.

If you have a flair for creativity and like to help other people look their best, you might want to consider the beauty and wellness industry. Working with hair, nails, and skin, vocational beauty schools can open doors to many promising career opportunities:
