Performing Experience continued 2016 The UNT Percussion Ensemble won the 2016 Percussive

Arts Society International Percussion Ensemble Competition resulting in a Showcase Concert at the PAS International Convention in Indianapolis. One of the works performed was the premier of my composition, IE2.

2016 Performed and recorded my concerto, Stubernic Fantasy,

with the UNT Wind Symphony directed by Eugene Corporon.

2016 Artistic Director Director for the 2016 Drum Fest Marimba

and Vibraphone Competition, Opole, Poland. Organized guest artists, competition rules and premiered my new composition for orchestra, Przebudzenie (The Awakening) with the Opole Philharmonic Orchestra; also premiered the orchestral concerto version of Yo Goto’s Ruffles From a Afar; and performed with marimba virtuoso Ludwig Albert on his Universe Concerto.

Saxophone Recital, UNT. 2014 Marimba Clinician for PASIC, Indianapolis, Indiana. 2014 Artistic Director and guest artist for the International Polish

Percussion Competition in Opole, Poland’s Drum Fest. I premiered Keiko Abe’s The Wave Impression Concerto for Two Marimbas and Orchestra with Keiko Abe and the Opole Philharmonic Orchestra. I also coordinated the UNT Drum Line’s appearance at the Drum Fest and performance in Krakow, Poland. Additionally, 10 UNT marimbists participated in the marimba competition.

2014 Guest soloist with the Abilene Philharmonic Orchestra for

the orchestral USA premier of Stubernic Fantasy. 2014 Five-week tour of Asia and Australia performing in Japan,

China, Taiwan and Australia. Highlight performances and clinics were presented at the Toho Gakuen School of Music in Japan; The Beijing and Shanghai Conservatories of Music; The Taiwan International Percussion Conference; and The Melbourn and Sidney Conservatories of Music.

2014 Guest artist for the University of Texas at Brownsville performing Stubernic Fantasy.

2014 Guest artist for the Alabama Day of Percussion hosted by the

2013 The US Navy Band performed my composition Stubernic Fantasy on their spring tour in 18 cities in Oregon, California, Nevada and Wyoming.

2013 Guest soloist with the East Carolina University Wind

Ensemble performing my concerto, Stubernic Fantasy. 2012 Performed the premier of the wind ensemble version of my

concerto Stubernic Fantasy with the Lone Star Wind Orchestra, Eugene Corporon director, at the Mid-West Band and Orchestra Conference in Chicago, IL.

2012 Directed and performed with the UNT 2:00 Steel Band at

PASIC with Andy Narell and the University of Texas Jazz Band.

2012 My concerto, Stubernic Fantasy for three marimbists and

orchestra, was premiered by the Opole Philharmonic Orchestra. I preformed as soloist on this concerto.

Percussion Ensemble/Director - Sample of Special Performances 2016 The UNT Percussion Ensemble performed several selections on the UNT

Sounds of the Holidays Concert: Twelve Drummers Drumming.

2016 The UNT Percussion Ensemble won the 2016 Percussive Arts Society International Percussion Ensemble Competition resulting in a Showcase Concert at the PAS International Convention in Indianapolis. This is a distinct honor and this is the second time that UNT has won this competition. The ensemble performed five premiers by established composers resulting in a standing ovation from percussionists from around the world.

2016 The UNT Percussion Ensemble released a new CD: Marimba Heritage.

2015 The UNT Percussion Ensemble performed with percussion artist Casey

Cangelosi, UNT. 2014 I coordinated the UNT Drum Line’s travel and concerts on a tour of Poland

culminating with concerts at the 23rd Annual Drum Fest, in Opole, Poland. 10 UNT student marimbists also traveled with the group and participated in the Polish International Marimba Competition. UNT students placed second and third in the competition.

2013 The UNT Percussion Ensemble performed with the UNT A Cappella Choir

at concerts in Dallas and at UNT. 2013 The UNT Percussion Ensemble toured three cities in Poland and a featured

performance at the Croatian International Percussion Ensemble Festival. 2012 The UNT 2:00 Steel Band performance at the PAS International Convention
