Mark R. Wilson is an associate in the San Francisco office of Manning & Kass, where he is a member of the firm's Strategy, Writs, and Appeals Team. He received his B.A., magna cum laude , from Miami University (Ohio) in 2005 and his J.D., with highest honors, from Golden Gate University School of Law in 2013. During law school, Mr. Wilson served as the first executive online editor of the Golden Gate University Law Review and published a comment discussing the search of cloud-stored data on mobile devices incident to arrest. He also wrote regularly for the Harvard Law & Policy Review Online. Mr. Wilson has substantial experience in appellate litigation, having served as a panel attorney representing indigent criminal defendants before the California Court of Appeal, First District. Prior to joining Manning & Kass, Mr. Wilson worked for the Supreme Court of California as a staff attorney on the Court's criminal central staff. During his two-year appointment to the Court, Mr. Wilson evaluated over 200 petitions for review in criminal matters. Mr. Wilson also serves as the Outreach Co-Chair of the American Constitution Society's Bay Area Lawyer Chapter and is a practitioner-advisor for appellate advocacy at the University of California, Berkeley, Law School (formerly Boalt Hall).
