Why did you join Northwest Missouri and when
I have been involved in MGMA local chapters since 2001 I have known the value of networking and education through MGMA organizations since then I joined the NWMO chapter in 2013 when I moved to a position in the Northland at Liberty Hospital My involvement was well-supported by leaders at Liberty Hospital
What do you like most about being an active member of NWMO
I am very actively involved in the organization and value the relationships I have developed As a manag-er of two specialty groups I find great value in per-sonally knowing the managers of groups that often refer to us I have found this network of colleagues to be invaluable as we work together to face the pressures on healthcare groups to deliver high-quality care at a low cost

I had been laid off from an accounting job in 2009 too a temporary position in accounts payablereceiv-able for a private practice The certified coder there highly recommended I attend AAPC meetings and NMM meetings (the first name of NWMO MGMA)
What do you like most about being an active mem-ber of NWMO
The relationships Ive built over the years along with the educational content Its also always good to be reminded Im not the same one facing any one partic-ular problem

What do you enjoy most about being a medical manager
I have always viewed myself as more of a facilitator than an administrator I love working through chal-lenges to simplify the work of healthcare providers I find joy in their patients success stories
Why did you join Northwest Missouri and when
I have been involved in MGMA local chapters since 2001 I have known the value of networking and education through MGMA organizations since then I joined the NWMO chapter in 2013 when I moved to a position in the Northland at Liberty Hospital My involvement was well-supported by leaders at Liberty Hospital
What do you like most about being an active member of NWMO
I am very actively involved in the organization and value the relationships I have developed As a manag-er of two specialty groups I find great value in per-sonally knowing the managers of groups that often refer to us I have found this network of colleagues to be invaluable as we work together to face the pressures on healthcare groups to deliver high-quality care at a low cost

No two days are ever the same Im also always mindful of the many lives I could impact on any given day from patients to caretakers to staff to physicians and providers to families of any of the above
How did you join Northwest Missouri MGMA and when
I had been laid off from an accounting job in 2009 too a temporary position in accounts payablereceiv-able for a private practice The certified coder there highly recommended I attend AAPC meetings and NMM meetings (the first name of NWMO MGMA)
What do you like most about being an active mem-ber of NWMO
The relationships Ive built over the years along with the educational content Its also always good to be reminded Im not the same one facing any one partic-ular problem
