WEBSITE
The main objectives of the Technologies
and Systems of Telecommunications (TST)
bachelor study program is to give to the
future graduate engineer the following
abilities and competencies:
- the ability to use fundamental knowledge
regarding electronic devices, circuits and
instrumentation;
- the capacity to apply the basic
knowledge, concepts and methods
regarding the architecture of computer
systems, microcontrollers, programming
languages and techniques;
- the capacity to apply, in specific situations,
the basic methods of electric and non-
electric signal processing; implementing
medium complexity procedures on the
signal processor;
- understanding and ability to use the
fundamental concepts regarding
communications and IT;
- the ability to select, install and exploit
fixed and mobile communications
equipment, to conceive communications
support for residential areas;
- the ability to use specific protocols and
software tools, based on a global vision on
data, voice, video and multimedia services;
- approaching the problems of
electromagnetic field propagation and
antennas, related to the specific
applications in wireless communications
(coverage, planning, antennas selection and
placing).
The Technologies and Systems of
Telecommunications (TST) bachelor
program offer the possibility to
understand and ability to use the
fundamental concepts regarding the vast
area of Telecommunications. The TST
graduate students will be able to work
independently or in groups in different
projects, with fixed and mobile
communications equipment, to use
specific protocols and software tools,
based on a global vision on data, audio,
video and multimedia services, toward
the future interconnected world, of IoT
(Internet-of-Things) and 5G
communications. The TST program of
studies responds to the Romanian and
international labor market
(telecommunications manufacturers and
operators) strong demand for specialists,
with an emphasis on last generation
communications systems and services.
