● It’s important to accommodate other people’s tastes and valueso Not just with hair! People I encounter in my career are going to have

different ideas and beliefs and I’m going to need to embrace those when I come across them (just like I did the winged eyeliner).

● How to communicate effectivelyo It’s okay to ask questions. It’s better to ask how someone wants

something done a hundred times than to mess up and have to start all over.

● I can have fun under pressureo Doing makeup is stressful work, especially when it’s for someone

else, but I learned to let loose and have a good time, and it made the experience way more enjoyable.
