Aerial lime is produced by firing the purest limestone to 900°C.In all civilisations and on all continents, mankind has been able to draw upon this sound and natural material to build as varied structures as foundations, bridges, water supplies, waterproofing, tanking, masonry, renders, and whitewashes.
The aerial lime produced in the factories of the Lhoist Group today is a modern material that can be used to manufacture high-technology products, thanks to end-to-end control of the production chain.
Whether pure or in formulations, BCB aerial limes feature the Tradical® label, which represents the stringent quality requirements of its products, based on characteristics including the regularity of their fineness, their very high level of free lime, and their stability.

BCB has developed a short and operational Tradical® range for all materials to be laid and substrates to be rendered. Tradical® Bâtir combined with Tradical® PF 80 → meet the needs of all your projects → make your choices safe and easy
Technical advantages
1. High yield2. Naturally very white lime3. Convenient application4. Very high permeance5. Consistent characteristics6. Preservation of performance ratings over time7. Sanitary quality
Definition of our building limes• Tradical® Bâtir: Class FL A 3.5 building lime according to standard
NF EN 459. Used in accordance with the French Building Code (DTU 26.1 and 20.1) for masonry, base coats, and brown coats of standardised mineral materials.
• Tradical® PF 80: Class FL A 2 building lime according to standard NF EN 459. Used in accordance with the French Building Code (DTU 26.1) to carry out render finishes and pointing.
Specific works
Plinths and wall bases are exposed to rising damp and the presence of salts.Tradical® PZ is the lime specifically developed for these strains.
Mechanical render
Tradical® PZ,Tradical® Bâtir, and Tradical® PF 80 Building Limes are also suitable for machine application. • Admissible substrates
All very soft, soft, firm, and hard substrates and materials.
• Technical prerequisites
You must make sure that the sand has a suitable particle size distribution curve to allow proper passage through the projection hoses. If this is not the case, use the Tradical® PF 80 M solution (see product data sheet).
• Procedure
Follow the typical work phases between each application: substrate preparation and drying time.
