Outdoor Confessions-We are also offering outdoor confessions for people who prefer to avoid entering the building, weather permitting. The outdoor confessionals are under canopies to the right and left of the courtyard.

Queridos amigos, "El Amor del Señor por siempre cantaré." ¿Para siempre incluye hoy? ¡Claro que si! También incluye mañana, y todos los horarios y estaciones. Cuando una pareja se casa, promete ser fiel a Dios y el uno con el otro en las buenas y en las malas, en la enfermedad y en la salud. Pode-mos encontrar la bondad del Señor en cualquier momento y en cada circunstancia de nuestras vidas. Este domingo le damos la bienvenida a nuestro nuevo vicario parroquial, el padre James Francis Waalkes. Como parroquia, es un honor para nosotros compartir las bendiciones de un sacerdote recién ordenado. Hay un gran entusiasmo y celo en la forma en que un nuevo sacerdote se acerca a todo. Tene-mos la oportunidad de ser reanimados por la alegría del com-promiso del Padre James con Jesús en la vocación del sacer-docio. Cuando Jesús dice que debemos tomar nuestra cruz diariamente y seguirlo, no quiere decir que debamos hacerlo protestando o refunfuñando. Más bien, Jesús nos enseña la alegría de vivir para Él y compartir con Él los sacrificios de cada día. Dear Friends, “Forever I will sing the goodness of the Lord.” Does forever include today? Of course, it does! It also includes tomorrow, and all times and seasons. When a couple gets married, they vow to be faithful to God and to each other in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health. We can find the good-ness of the Lord in any moment and in every circum-stance of our lives. This Sunday we welcome our new parochial vicar, Father James Francis Waalkes. It is an honor for us as a parish to share the blessings of a newly or-dained priest. There is a great enthusiasm and zeal in the way a new priest approaches everything. We have the opportunity to be lifted up by the joy of Fr. James’ commitment to Jesus in the vocation of priesthood. When Jesus says that we must take up our cross daily and follow Him, He doesn’t mean that we should do so begrudgingly. Rather, Jesus teaches us the joy of living for Him and sharing with Him the sacrifices of each day. Scouting reports on Fr. James indicate that he is a priest who has an unmistakable lively joyfulness in his way of serving the Lord. He has musical talent (they say he can sing, play guitar, and harmonica-all at once!) and a fun sense of humor. Knowing that he is living the brand new excitement of the priest-hood, we, as a parish, accept gladly the opportunity to support him in his service among us even as we are lifted up by it. I know you will make him wel-come here. Welcome, Fr. James! May you sing the good-ness of the Lord forever! And may you find His goodness in abundance here at St. Anthony’s, your new home! During these days when Holy Communion isn't possible please adopt the traditional and fruitful practice of praying a Spiritual Communion Prayer. Here is a suggested one, but feel free to pray one from your heart: An ideal practice is to make this prayer when you are meditat-ing on the readings from the Mass of the Day or watching it on TV or online. Practice will be held at 9:00 am (same day) in the cafeteria for students and sponsors. If families of the Confirmandees have any questions, email
Federal Holiday Since the Fourth of July is on a Saturday, the federal holiday will be observed on Friday, July 3. Therefore, on Friday, July 3, the paro-chial office phones will not be answered that day. There will only be one Mass celebrated at 8:30 am in English on Friday. If parishioners are unable to attend, Mass will be broadcast on our website and Facebook page.

Solar Panel Project-Update The installation of our solar panels has begun and is progressing well. Both the parish and school will have solar panels in place by the end of the summer. The church’s lower roof as well as the rectory and parish offices sides have been com-pleted. This past week, installation on the church’s main roof and the school gym roof begun. Increasingly, with each year after installation, the St. Anthony array of solar cells will create savings in our parish and school electric utility expenses. In his encyclical, Pope Francis states that "For Christians. believ-ing in one God who is Trinitarian communion suggests that the Trinity has left its mark on all creation." Through this project we will help in the care for His creation.
