    Kindergarten and First Grades have music at 9:40 am

    CHOSEN Class 6-8th Grades 9:40 am!! Sandy Hackman will share her family's story today about their survival of the Holocaust. She

    is honored to be here at OLV to speak to our middle school children and their parents. Parishioners are also invited to attend this!

    A donation basket will be at the entrance of the Father Romano Parish Life Center for the Jewish Columbus Center to assist with continued education on the Holocaust.

    Thank you to all who attended or donated to the Missionary Childhood Fundraiser-Children Helping Children last Sunday! We raised $943.50 that will be sent to the Missions Office to help children around the world!

    Special thanks to the 8th graders and parents who assisted at the event or donated baked goods. A HUGE thank you to the OLV Knights of Columbus for their donation of the sloppy joes and chips for our event.

    Atrium Classroom in the basement of the Church During

    the 11:00 am mass. Drop off at 10:50am and pick up

    immediately following mass. Dates available: November

    24; December 8, and 15. Closed for Christmas break,

    Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Masses

    A MASS SAFETY COORDINATOR will soon be assigned at

    each Mass and will be a key contact for any issues and

    responsible for specific procedures. If you would like to

    assist the OLV Safety and Security Committee as a Mass

    Safety Coordinator, please contact Deacon Rob Joseph or

    the Parish Office for more information.

  • TWENTY-SEVENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

    HIGH SCHOOL BOYS AND GIRLS BASKETBALL PLAYERS, THE DIOCESAN RECREATION ASSOCIATION WANTS YOU! It is time to begin forming your parish CYO basketball team. Girls and boys in grades 9-12 are eligible to play. Games will be played on weekends, beginning Dec. 7/8 or Dec. 14/15. All teams must be formed by November 20 and the High School Sport Information Sheet (found at www.columbuscatholic.org/recreation) must be submitted to hold your spot.     APRIL’S BASKETS – homelessness is on the rise. In Columbus alone it is up to an estimated 1800 people – Veterans, Families and Children. Please donate new or

    gently used blankets and/or $5 McDonalds Gift Cards.

    Thank you for past blessings: 2016 – 210 blankets & $200; 2017 – 400 blankets & $800; 2018 – 800 blankets & 1400. Help us continue to blanket Columbus. For blanket pick-up

    VEHICLE DONATIONS NEEDED FOR JOSEPHINUM: The

    Pontifical College Josephinum is in need of used cars, vans and

    SUVs for various seminary activities, such as seminarians’ travel to pastoral formation assignments and other off-campus

    responsibilities. If you have a vehicle you would like to donate,

    please call 614-985-2230 so that arrangements can be made to

    deliver the vehicle before December 31. The Josephinum will

    provide the necessary documentation for your donation.

    BI-MONTHLY MASS AND HEALING SERVICE ON NOVEMBER 18,

    6:30PM, ST. JOSEPH CATHEDRAL: Following the Mass of the

    Day, a Healing Service will begin with Exposition of the Blessed

    Sacrament and Veneration of relics of the True Cross. Each

    person will have an opportunity to speak individually with one

    of several priests present to discuss their particular situation

    and receive a prayer of healing. The Sacrament of Anointing of

    the Sick will also be available for Catholics who are seriously ill.

    The Healing Service will conclude with Benediction. All persons

    who seek Christ’s healing are invited, especially those who suffer with addictions, mental health issues, physical illness and

    infirmities in addition to those who seek emotional and spiritual

    healing. All caregivers, family members, and members of the

    medical community are invited as well. Secured parking is

    available off East Gay Street; handicapped elevator access to

    the Cathedral is located off the Broad Street Courtyard. For

    The CATHOLIC MEN’S LUNCHEON CLUB will feature the annual presentation of one of the diocese’s newly ordained priests. This year Fr. Christopher Yakkel, who is Parochial Vicar for the Perry County Consortium of Catholic Parishes will share his vocation story. Please join us Friday, December 6 at St. Patrick Church in downtown Columbus for lunch and Fr. Yakkel’s talk. Holy Mass (optional) begins at 11:45am followed by lunch at 12:10pm and Fr. Yakkel’s talk. Free parking available in the Columbus State Grant Avenue parking lot (25-S) across the street from St. Patrick. No reservations are necessary. $10 covers the lunch and meeting. There will be no luncheon club in January as we prepare for the Catholic Man of the Year Luncheon which will be on Friday February 7, 2020.
