We are often reminded by our Holy Father Pope Francis and Sacred Scripture that in order to
love one another we must share the blessings which God has provided to us. In Acts, Chapter 4, we learn that the early Church shared all possessions with one another so that the apostles and early Christian communities could fully proclaim “the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great favor was accorded them all. There was no needy person among them.” We are called to similarly share what is granted to us by God and return it to Him so that not
one of our brothers and sisters goes without: without the gift of faith; without the essential human needs; and without a personal relationship with Our Lord. We are called to Share God’s Blessings, and when we do, we find freedom and joy in proclaiming the Resurrection of the Lord
Jesus, just as the apostles did over 2,000 years ago! Will you join your brothers and sisters in Sharing God’s Blessings?

2016 COLECTA PARA LA ADMINISTRACIÓN ANUAL
A menudo nos recordamos por nuestro Santo Padre Francisco y la Sagrada Escritura que para amarse unos a otros debemos compartir las bendiciones que Dios ha provisto para nosotros.
En Hechos, capítulo 4, nos enteramos de que la Iglesia primitiva compartió todas sus posesiones entre sí por lo que él los apóstoles y comunidades cristianas totalmente podían proclamar "la
resurrección del Señor Jesús, y gran favor a todos ellos se le concedió. No había entre ellos ningún necesitado ".
Estamos llamados a compartir de manera similar lo que se concede a nosotros por Dios y devolverlo a Él para que ni uno solo de nuestros hermanos y hermanas hace falta: sin el don de la
fe; sin las necesidades humanas esenciales; y sin una relación personal con el Señor. ¡Estamos llamados a compartir las bendiciones de Dios, y cuando lo hacemos, nos encontramos con la
libertad y la alegría en la proclamación de la resurrección del Señor Jesús, al igual que los apóstoles hicieron hace más de 2.000 años!
¿Te unirás con sus hermanos y hermanas en compartir las bendiciones de Dios?

AMEN, THANK YOU JESUS, AMEN
Today we hear that Nehemiah gathered all of “the men, women as well as those children old enough to understand” outside the temple to hear Ezra read the Law of Moses, that is, the Torah, the first five books of the Bible. Ezra brought the Book, stood on a wooden platform, read it and interpreted it for the people. Ezra read the law from “daybreak till midday”, which is about 5-6 hours.
As Ezra opened the book all the people rose. And as he was reading it, the people, with hands raised answered, “Amen, Amen!” Then they prostrated themselves before the Lord. By standing, bowing, and prostrating the people demonstrated their love and reverence for the Word of God. And after the reading, they wept. They wept because they realized how often they had turned from God and lost touch with Him.
This truth nourishes our won faith in God. First, we are to love the Holy Bible. The Bible is not a book of suggestions and interesting stories, but an inspiration for God speaks. It is holy, just, pure and good. Ti leads us to God and to deep truths about ourselves.
Second, if we love the God’s words, then we must give Him our time: read, hear, and pray with the Word… and then proclaim and live the Word.
Third, we must not only love the Word and spend time with the Word, we must revere the Word. Reverence is both external (with gestures) and internal (in humility). We live in times where God’s Word is perhaps “respected” but not “revered”. We seem to have lost true reverence or awe or fear for the Word. With the changes in the liturgy and worship, all deep respect for Him and His Word may have been diminished, and yet this is the ultimate purpose of salvation – to revere and obey Him. Saint Paul reminds us that if we do not exercise reverence, other spiritual graces and lives cannot flourish. Like the walls of Jerusalem were built to protect the temple and the city from enemies, let us use the Word to build a fortress around our family and personal life so that our body, mind and soul are guarded against all evil.
AMÉN, GRACIAS JESÚS, AMÉN
Hoy escuchamos que Nehemías reunió a todos "los hombres, las mujeres, así como a aquellos niños con edad suficiente para entender" fuera del templo para oír Esdras lee la Ley de Moisés, es decir, la Torá, los primeros cinco libros de la Biblia. Esdras trajo el libro, se puso de pie sobre una plataforma de madera, lo
leyó y lo interpretó para el pueblo. Esdras leyó la ley de "el amanecer hasta el mediodía", que es cerca de 5-6 horas.
Como Esdras abrió el libro a todo el pueblo se levantó. Y como lo estaba leyendo, la gente, con las manos levantadas respondieron: "¡Amén, Amén!" Entonces se postraron ante el Señor. Por de pie, haciendo una
reverencia, y postrándose las personas demostraron su amor y reverencia por la Palabra de Dios. Y después de la lectura, lloraron. Ellos lloraron porque se dieron cuenta de la frecuencia con que se habían apartado de
Dios y perdieron contacto con él.
Esta verdad nutre nuestra fe ganado en Dios. En primer lugar, hemos de amar la Santa Biblia. La Biblia no es un libro de sugerencias e historias interesantes, pero una inspiración para Dios que habla. Es santo,
justo, puro y bueno. Nos lleva a Dios ya las verdades profundas acerca de nosotros mismos.
En segundo lugar, si amamos las palabras del Dios, entonces debemos darle nuestro tiempo: leer, escuchar y orar con la Palabra ... y luego proclamar y vivir la Palabra.
En tercer lugar, no sólo debemos amar la Palabra y pasar tiempo con la Palabra, debemos reverenciar la Palabra. La reverencia es tanto externa (con gestos) e interna (de humildad). Vivimos en tiempos donde la
Palabra de Dios es quizás "respetada", pero no "venerado". Parece que hemos perdido la verdadera reverencia o temor o miedo por la Palabra. Con los cambios en la liturgia y el culto, todo profundo respeto
por Él y Su Palabra se puede haber disminuido, y sin embargo, este es el fin último de la salvación - a reverenciar y obedecerle. San Pablo nos recuerda que, si no ejercemos reverencia, otras gracias espirituales y vidas no pueden prosperar. Al igual que se construyeron las murallas de Jerusalén para proteger el templo
y la ciudad de los enemigos, vamos a usar la palabra para construir una fortaleza en torno a nuestra vida familiar y personal para que nuestro cuerpo, mente y alma están protegidos contra todo mal.
