Next weekend, July 24/25, St. Lawrence Out-reach Ministry is collecting new pillows, still in their plastic wrap, for needy families in the Perham/New York Mills area. The need is so great. There will be a table in the hall for the pillows.

If you have extra bedding (blankets, sheets, pillow cases that are clean and usable) call Nancy Witt or Ramona Kadow and we will get them to the families in need. Thank you for always being so generous!

morning Mass will be held at St. Lawrence Cemetery at 8:30AM. All are welcome.

Please bring lawn chairs. In case of bad weather Mass will be held in the St. Lawrence Church.

The community is invited to participate in discussion about what seniors and their families consider ‘home’ as adults age and what is needed to age-in-place versus moving to a care facility. Information collected will be used to help inform policy makers on what types of services seniors need as they age. The discussion will take place Thursday, June 29th, from 5-7PM in the St. James Conference room at Perham Health. To RSVP call (218) 347-1879.

The 8th Annual Heavenly Hackers Golf Tournament will take place on July 30 at

2:00PM. More information will be coming. St. Henry’s Area School (Perham, MN) is seeking a full-time janitor/maintenance person beginning June 15, 2017. Duties included but not limited to: General Maintenance, Snow Removal, School Cleaning, Overseeing Heating System, Lunchroom cleanup. Quilts of Valor Kids’ Quilt Camps

QOV Camp #1: June 26 & 28

QOV Camp #2: June 27 & 29

Anyone, ages 10-18, with a basic knowledge of sewing by machine and a keen desire to honor and comfort our active and veteran military is welcome. The camp is held at the Dent Community Center from 8:00AM—12:30PM on the above dates. Each camper will work with an adult mentor from Quilters Embrace. We will enjoy a pot-luck lunch at the end of each day’s sewing. At the culmination of camp there will be a closing program for family and friends.
