LET US PRAY Please remember in your prayers all of our parish family and friends who suffer emotionally, spiritually, or physically especially Ann McGee and Gregory Clary, If you wish to have the name of a relative or friend listed for one month, please contact the Parish office at 384-4242. Anyone from Our Catholic Parishes may request to have a person included in the bulletin for prayers. We will adhere to the practice of including a name for one month before removing it. Prayer can always be requested again at any time.

PIVOTAL PLAYERS

Our acclaimed series will resume soon and be offered through Lent. The first session will take place in Norfolk on March 5 and in Norwood on the 9th. Discussion will again turn to St. Thomas Aquinas the great theologian who had a profound devotion to the Eucharist. The video that will be the basis for the discussion was shown at our last December meetings. It will be repeated again on Friday evening, 3 March at 6:00 at the Fr. Amyot Center. No discussion that evening, just the video! Join us to refresh your memory before the next week's sessions, or just to see this fine presentation about the life and work of this saint who has had such a profound impact on our understanding of our faith and on our devotion to Jesus, the Lord, present in our Eucharist.

LIVING STONES We owe a debt of gratitude to those parishioners who have agreed to participate as Steering Committee Members in the 4 parish dialogue to plan for parish life when we share one pastor. Members from the Parish of the Visitation and St. Raymond are Eric Molnar, Molly Pressey, Charlie Robinson, and Sally Sutter. Those taking part from St. Andrew's are Joe Colarusso, Larry LaPoint, and Lisa Levison. Pray for them as our process gets underway.

COLLECTION FOR THE CHURCH IN CENTRAL AND EASTERN EUROPE

On Ash Wednesday, March 1, we will take up the Collection for the Church in Central and Eastern Europe. This collection supports the Church in over 20 countries, many of which are still struggling to recover in the aftermath of Soviet rule. Funds from this collection support pastoral care, catechesis, building renovations, and seminary formation. Your support restores the Church and builds the future in this region. Please prayerfully consider how you can support the collection next week. More information can be found at www.usccb.org/ccee .

FUN FACTS FOR CATHOLIC KIDS February 19 – Do you think the sun moves around the earth – or the earth moves around the sun? Many years ago, people though the earth was the center of the universe, but a man named Copernicus (whose birthday is today) discovered that the earth – like other planets – revolves around the sun. People made fun of Copernicus and refused to believe him for a long time, but he was right. He had made one of the most important discoveries in history! Tonight when it gets dark, look out your window at all the stars. Only God knows how many there are. Only God knows about all the planets in the universe. Only God knows all about YOU! That’s because God made the stars and the universe and you!
