Background Developed by a professional Acupuncturist
+
“I wanted to give my clients the freedom to treat themselves at home and in between
treatments to expedite their recovery process and then developed this amazing
product. “
The happy trigger is invented and developed by the professional acupuncturist Tobias Schön. He is one of thirteen acupuncturists in Europe, who is on Dr. Richard Tan's reference list of qualified acupuncturists. Dr Tan is currently one of the world's top acupuncturists and lecturers worldwide. Tobias has been working as an acupuncturist since 2009.
During his career, he has noticed that a many of his clients suffer from neck, upper back and lower back problems. In 2011, in an effort to help his patients, he carefully developed the happy trigger to enable self-directed therapy. As a result, many of his patients have been able to expedite the recovery process and greatly reduce or eliminate their pain.

+ What is a
trigger point?
A trigger point is a tender, unrelaxed
muscle. Trigger points usually occur in muscles that are
overworked.
When overworked muscle fibers are
constantly activated, trigger points, also known as muscle knots, develop.
To effectively relax trigger points, a well-designed pressure head can promote
blood circulation and pain relief.

Instructions: How to use the happy trigger
ü DO NOT apply pressure directly to the spinal cord
ü DO NOT use on inflamed areas ü For best results, use 10-second
intervals to avoid discomfort from overuse
ü Be gentle the first few times to avoid discomfort. Overuse might cause tenderness for a few days. Stop using if bruising occurs
ü Keep the tool out of reach of children
ü For best results repeat 2-3 times daily

Upper Back • Relax your upper back and shoulder blades and place the happy
trigger on a tender spot with both hands gripping the handle • By pulling the tool forward gradually you can decide how much
pressure you apply to the muscle knot. Be gentle the first few times to avoid discomfort
• For best results, use 10-second intervals. Apply focused pressure or, alternatively, move the acupressure head vertically and gently on the sore point, relax for 10 seconds, then repeat 2-3 times
• To better reach the tight and tensed muscles, you can try an outward movement with your arm to further open up the shoulder
Shoulders • Use one hand to grip the handle while placing the other on top of
the steel • As you relax your shoulders, keep the acupressure head fixated
on one point. Apply a gentle pressure or use soft pumping movements to ease tender muscles
• If comfortable, turn your head to the opposite direction of pressure application for an even better result
Areas of treatment: Check out the instructional videos at www.happytriggerus.com
Chest Muscles • Place one hand at the tip of the Happy Trigger to ensure a
steady and secure grip • Find a sore point, then apply pressure for 10 seconds, using
either focused pressure or soft pumping movements, Relax for 10 seconds then repeat 2-3 times
• If you do this on a regularly, you will help stretch the chest muscles and improve your posture
• Pressure against the chest muscles sometimes gives a radiating feeling out into the arm
7
Neck • Observe how to use the hands – one hand is gripping the handle
and the other one is used merely as support • Put the acupressure head slightly below the skull, just over an
inch sideways from the center of the neck • DO NOT apply pressure directly to the spinal column • Use small, light, circular movements to release tension
Jaw • Notice where the acupressure head is placed compared to the
earlobe • Use small, light movements when applying a gentle pressure
to the jaw’s sensitive muscles
Backside & Legs • Locate a sore and tender point in the seat muscles • Apply pressure to the tender point for 10 seconds, relax for 10
seconds, and repeat 2-3 times • Pressure against the backside muscles sometimes gives a
radiating feeling out into the legs • Continue down along the outside of your legs, repeating the
process and moving onto the backside of your legs
