Master of Arts in Business Information Systems Admission Period: 01.06.2015 -19.06.2015 Goal of the Program The aim of Business Information Systems Master of Arts Program (without thesis) is to enable people with different educational backgrounds, to become specialists in business applications of information systems and to acquire the necessary background of effectively managing information systems that are an essential part in almost every functional area of business. The Program is Designed for: - Those who expect to acquire the competence and vision to effectively implement and manage information systems in institutions in every sector, - Those who want to be trained as experts in the application of information systems in the business world. www.bis.boun.edu.tr Admission Requirements Candidates should have a B.A. or B.S. undergraduate degree from any field, excluding MIS. They should have a GPA of at least 2.00/4.00 and ALES score of at least 55 (EA score) or 450 from GMAT, or 149 from GRE (Quantitative). There will be an oral and a written exemption exam. Should accepted candidates fail the written exemption exam, they would be required to take the Foundation courses (BIS501 Technical foundation and BIS502 Managerial Foundation courses). Courses are in two groups, namely required courses and electives. For graduation a total of 33 credits should be completed successfully. Instead of a master’s thesis, students are required to submit a graduation project either individually or as a group. Medium of instruction is English. Courses take place after work hours on weekdays and if necessary between 09:00-12:00 and 13:00-18:00 on Saturdays in the Hisar Campus. Courses are offered in Fall, Spring and Summer Terms.
