    » EDMT 60153: Fostering Discourse in the Mathematics Classroom (offered even years) » EDMT 60143 Teaching and Learning Mathematics with Technology (offered odd years)

    Core Requirements (9 hours minimum required for all students): » EDUC 70953: Research in Education » EDUC 60203: Curriculum and Instruction OR EDLE 60043: Instructional Leadership A: Curriculum,

    Instruction, and Assessment » 3 hours of research (choose one of the following):

    About the ProgramThe Master of Education (M.Ed.) program is a 36 credit-hour program designed for teachers, pre-service teachers, and educational professionals seeking to enhance instruction and leadership skills in mathematics education. Graduate students develop the knowledge and skills to work with children, adolescents, and families in a variety of educational settings and to enhance their pedagogical and research abilities.

    Fifteen of the program’s 36 credit hours in the Mathematics Education Specialization are mathematics education graduate coursework. The program offers graduate students two areas of emphasis: (1) Teaching and Learning or (2) Research.
