PROGRAM BENEFITS• The program has a national reputation for

educating skilled, hands-on practitioners who are client-centered and holistic in their approach to health care.

• Mount Mary’s occupational therapy program has maintained full accreditation since its inception in 1941.

• The program includes block scheduled and online courses to maximize your in-class time, yet still allow time for your out-of-class activities and responsibilities.

• The program can be completed in 28 months (six semesters) after admission.

• Our fieldwork coordinator and faculty collaborate with students to identify student preferences for fieldwork.

ABOUT THE PROGRAMOccupational therapy helps people of all ages who have suffered an illness, injury or some form of debilitation relearn the skills of daily living. By focusing on the physical, psychological and social needs of clients, occupational therapists help people function at the highest possible level, concentrating on what’s important to them to rebuild their health, independence and self-esteem.

If you are resourceful, compassionate, a creative problem solver, and interested in health, science and the arts, a career in occupational therapy could allow you to make the most of what you have to give.

PROGRAM DETAILSThe Master of Science in Occupational Therapy program curriculum is designed around a developmental education philosophy with core expectations identified at each level. Our experienced faculty offer personal attention and advising. Classes and labs encourage interaction with peers and instructors.

The Master of Science in Occupational Therapy program requires 66 credits, which allows you to complete the program in only 28 months. Complete coursework with a focus on individual treatment, while also participating in a faculty-arranged fieldwork experience, putting textbook knowledge into practice. Online classes are utilized while completing fieldwork.

You will analyze treatment efficacy and apply occupation-based theory to various practice settings. Emphasis is placed on enhancing evidence-based practice, leadership and responsibility to the profession and its clients.

“I chose Mount Mary because classes are offered two days a week, which allows for

flexibility in life outside of school. The faculty are very caring and

knowledgeable, too.”
