Living in Rome
Rome is the capital of Italy and the fourth
most populous city in the European
Union. It’s the only city in the world
which contains a whole country – the
Vatican City – and is also one of the most
visited cities in the world. Rome is often
referred to as the Eternal City, spanning
28 centuries of history since its founding
in 753 B.C.
While most study abroad alumni would
tell you that going abroad was one of the
best experiences of their lives, you might
be concerned about the cost of living in
a large European capital.
While budgets vary according
to students’ lifestyles, needs and
expectations, average living costs are
as follows:
• Room: €300-600 per month
• Studio apt: €650-900 per month
• Food: €150-300 per month
• City transport card: €35 per month
or €250 per year
• Mobile phone: €10-30 per month
• Restaurants: €15-30 for a meal
• Museums: €5-15 per entrance
• Clubs: €10-25 per entrance

teams on consulting projects to be
presented at the end of the year.
Top students may be offered internships at a partner company after graduation.
“Participating and winning the Luiss Adoption Lab for Gucci has been a wonderful experience both on a personal and educational level. I consider it a pivotal tool that connects students with companies and helps us understand how companies actually work and what they want.”
