• Social obstetrics considers, age at marriage, child spacing, fertility, education, customs and beliefs in pregnancy, upbringing of child in family, deliveries by trained birth attendants
• Social pediatrics aims growth monitoring of infants /children, nutritional surveillance, breast feeding promotion, regular health check ups of infants

ORS & diarrhea prevention program. Diarrhea major cause of infant deaths, morbidity & malnutrition, hence education in personal hygiene and child care
MCH refers to comprehensive medical care comprising promotive, preventive ,curative and rehabilitative services for mothers and children including family health planning
