CASAS gains Spring 2010
ABE Math Math 50
We asked students why they thought they made gains in math 50 this quarter.
Student evaluations
Students said: Excellent attendance, willingness to learn, committed
instructors and tutors - competent& supportive, committed to doing homework, setting goals for success.
Took more time understanding the numbers, asked questions, did homework, review of entire work and the tutor help.
In class every day, doing class work online and doing homework.
Finding easier steps to solve problems, tutor helps a lot when I’m stuck, and gained Accuplacer 50 points.
Try my best, asked questions, studied with a group, was in class on time, looked at it visually, study a lot on it to get the point.
Class work is what made me better. I have learned so much more in math then I knew before by
being in this class and having a tutor. Math used to be a 4 letter word to me. Not anymore.
