Jesus’s Message of Forgiveness Vs the eal Message of

forgiveness!

9 Jesus stepped into a boat, crossed over and came to his own town. 2

Some men brought to him a paralyzed man, lying on a mat. When Jesussaw their faith, he said to the man, “Take heart, son your sins areforgiven.! 3 "t this, some of the teachers of the law said to themselves, “This fellowis blaspheming#! 4 $nowing their thoughts, Jesus said, “Why do you entertain evil thoughtsin your hearts% 5 Which is easier& to say, '(our sins are forgiven,) or to say, '*et up and walk)% 6 +ut want you to know that the Son of -an hasauthority on earth to forgive sins.! So he said to the paralyzed man, “*etup, take your mat and go home.! 7 Then the man got up and went home. 8

When the crowd saw this, they were filled with awe and they praised*od, who had given such authority to man.

5a 1id you not 3uestion why it was that the first thing that Jesus saidwhen he saw this man was& '(our sins are forgiven,) 1id you not wonderwhy someone with healing powers would say that first and then this '*etup and walk)% only after. 5b think people who could believe that Jesusshould to forgive first and heal second, are people who see an evil inside

of them because they would do what Jesus did here. 5c They might look onthis paralyzed man and see him as being less than what they are. +eingless oly or righteous because he is less able. 5d This is not what peopleshould do be nasty people deep inside do feel like this is *od/spunishment for them, and so for them to be healed *od must first forgiveup. This is not true though. 5e There is some truth to it, which is thatkarma does e4ists, and that many times bad things could happen in yourlife because of the bad things that you have done in your life or in a pastlife. +ut as a human no one can make a 2udgment on whether or not aphysical in2ury is deserved or not. 5e "s a human, you do not know that

person/s life well engoth, or do not know what they have done in a pastlife, so it is not your place to 2udge these things, for much of the time itcould 2ust be bad luck. 5f +ad luck that you could end up feeling theconse3uences for. So do not 2udge a person/s physical appearance orability 6a +ut want you to know that the people on 5arth have authorityon earth to forgive sins. +ut only if you become a victim of someoneelse/s sin. 6b f someone has not committed a crime or offense against youthen you are in no position to forgive them. 6c 6ikewise if someone stealsfrom, hurts or even kills one of your friends or relatives, you are in noposission to forgive them, for the crime is not against you. 6d (ou can

forgive them for your loss of losing your close friend or relative, but thatloss will stay with you for the whole of your life, so how can you forgivesomeone when you will have to live with the conse3uence of that person/scrime for the rest of your life. 6e heard the story of a church shootingwhich resulted in many deaths and the parents a very short time laterwere saying how they forgive the perpetrator, but ask how could youpossibly do that in such a short space of time. 6f 1id you not love youchildren enough to really feel the pain of their passing. 7orgiveness shouldnot be possible for at least a year after the death. 6g 7orgiveness of amurder can only really be granted by the victim, so think how would the

victim feel if she was murdered but the parents who were left told the theperpetrator only a short time later, 'we forgive you.) 6h 7orgiveness canand some time should be hard to feel, but however if something is asaccident and not intentional, then it would be unfair to come on toaggressive towards the perpetrator. 6i Some anger or punishment doesneed to be e4pressed or dished out so that they know the seriousness oftheir mistake and how that accident will now affect the victim/s life or thefamily of that person/s life, so that they can learn to be more carefull ne4ttime. 6j +ut in these cases forgiveness does need to be felt and e4pressedto as accidents will happen to everyone and you can to too angry at

someone for making a mistake when you commit that same mistake. 6k7or an e4ample if a car sees an orange traffic light but chooses to speed

Page 3: Matthew 9-14 - Zion's New Age Bible

up instead of stop then ends up crashing into someone you know andlove, you can not do to hatfull towards that person if yourselves speed upwhen you see an orange traffic light.6l So when it comes to forgiveness some things should be forgiven andsome things should rightfully take time#8c When the crowd heard the true message of forgiveness, they were filledwith awe and they praised *od, who had given such authority to man.

"he #alling of Matthew

9 "s Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named -atthew sitting atthe ta4 collector)s booth. “7ollow me,! he told him, and -atthew got upand followed him.10 While Jesus was having dinner at -atthew)s house, many ta4 collectors

and sinners came and ate with him and his disciples. 11 When the8harisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eatwith ta4 collectors and sinners%! 12 9n hearing this, Jesus said, “t is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 13 +ut go and learn what this means& ' desire mercy, notsacrifice.) 7or have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.!

13a So here Jesus chooses to sit with the rich ta4 collector and eat withsinners, but have you not heard that you should be careful who youchoose to hang around

1o not be yoked together with unbelievers. 7or what do righteousnessand wickedness have in common% 9r what fellowship can light have with

darkness%

13d Jesus describes the sinner as being like a sick person needing a doctor.+ut this is not the same thing for people who are sick willing go to adoctor to seek help, but in the scenario above the sinners are notindicating that they are looking for healing. 13e When the verse tells you tolearn what this means, what the spirit is actually saying is that Jesus thisstory sums up what Jesus is doing now. 13f The real christ desires mercy

not sacrifice, but the false made up ;hrist calls on all the unrighteous

people, who ignore the real sacrifice and instead choose to 'sit and eat)with Jesus.

ere is what that spirit says9a "s Jesus saw a man named -atthew AWhich ironically is the name ofthis bookB This man)s only interest lied in making money. Jesus said tohim “7ollow me,!and then -atthew got up and followed him.10a While Jesus was having dinner at -atthew)s house, many otherwealthy sinners came and ate with him and his disciples. 11a When the8harisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eatwith fraudulent business owners and sinners%! 12a 9n hearing this, Jesus said, “t is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. however am only a teacher, the sick will seek someone for

healing, but a student will seeks someone who can teach them a lesson.12b So , Jesus must sit with the sinners so that they can be to tort alesson for not realising that they are actually sick and should have insteadseeked the real ;hrist or real truth for healing.

13g What the +ible means when it says& ' desire mercy, not sacrifice.) Thisis the cry of the real ;hrist srael, who is the sacrifice being ignored, butJesus has taken her place and he has not come to call the righteous, butonly the sinners.!

Jesus $uestione% About Fasting

14 Then John)s disciples came and asked him, “ow is it that we and the8harisees fast often, but your disciples do not fast%! 15 Jesus answered, “ow can the guests of the bridegroom mourn while heis with them% The time will come when the bridegroom will be taken fromthem then they will fast.16 “Co one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, for the

patch will pull away from the garment, making the tear worse. 17 Ceitherdo people pour new wine into old wineskins. f they do, the skins willburst the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. Co, theypour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.!

17a ere Jesus does not answer the 3uestion but does hint that the *roomthey long for will be taken away from them.

14a Then John)s disciples came and asked, “ow is it that Deligious peopleseem to be persecuted so much, when the +ible says that they would besaved%! 15a Jesus answered, “ow can the worshipers of the bridegroom mournwhile he is with them% The time will come when the bridegroom will be

18 While he was saying this, a synagogue leader came and knelt beforehim and said, “-y daughter has 2ust died. +ut come and put your hand onher, and she will live.! 19 Jesus got up and went with him, and so did hisdisciples.20 Just then a woman who had been sub2ect to bleeding for twelve years

came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. 21 She said toherself, “f only touch his cloak, will be healed.! 22 Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,! he said, “your faithhas healed you.! "nd the woman was healed at that moment.23 When Jesus entered the synagogue leader)s house and saw the noisycrowd and people playing pipes, 24 he said, “*o away. The girl is not deadbut asleep.!+ut they laughed at him. 25 "fter the crowd had been putoutside, he went in and took the girl by the hand, and she got up. 26 Cewsof this spread through all that region.

26a ere the description is so brief that the dead girl and sick woman aremost likely the same person as there/s a sentence about the girl then asentence about the woman then it is about the girl again# 26b ence Jesusdid not raise the girl from the dead as before she was healed it says 'Shesaid to herself, “f only touch his cloak, will be healed.!) 26c Saying thatshe was not actually dead as dead people do not 'think to themselves#)"nd after she wakes Jesus seems very keen to shout about what has 2usthappened, in an arrogant fashion#

Jesus warned them sternly, “See that no one knows about this.! 31 +ut they went out and spread thenews about him all over that region.

31a Why would Jesus only heal them if they worship him, and why is hetelling the man not to tell people about his power when he was happy totell crowds of people all about the girl he 2ust help to 'wake from thedead#)

What it should say is27a "s "nna began to wake people up, two blind crazy men followed heryoutube page, asking 3uestion, "nna asked them,“1o you believe that am able to open your eye to the truth%!  “(es, 6ord,! they replied.29a Then she said, “"ccording to your faith let it be done to you! 30a

however they were only lying and put their faith in lies. +ut after she wase4posed, their sight was restored so they could see what fools they reallywere. Jesus warned them, “See no one knows about her.! 31a +ut nowthat she has been e4posed, all will go out and spread the news about her

all over the world.

32 While they were going out, a man who was demonEpossessed and couldnot talk was brought to Jesus. 33 "nd when the demon was driven out, theman who had been mute spoke. The crowd was amazed and said, “Cothing like this has ever been seen in srael.! 34 +ut the 8harisees said, “t is by the prince of demons that he drives out

demons.!

34a Then "nna says what a horrible person you are to try and form ae4orcism of a mute you could not say anything back0 how do you knowhe was possessed if he could not talk0 34b t almost sounds like youbelieve that all mutes only have this syndrome because they arepossessed, when really all you are doing is picking on the most valuablemembers of society# 34c Fsing them for the soul a2ender of biggingyourself up and making yourself seem more special# The truth hidden inthis story is that “Cothing like this has ever been seen in srael.! 34d +ecause it has never happen0 believe possession is possible as it has

happened to me during my life. 34e was one a mountain on the border ofswitzerland, was cold and wanted to go back to the car and driveonward but my mum started to run up the hill started to chase her tobring her back but then suddenly felt like was a different person. 34f felt dirty, smelly, scared, and tried, like was a 2ew running from a natzi.Someone who had not washed in weeks but instead had been living inhiding. 34g Then felt a need to run as if was being chased by dogs andpeople. Then saw this big stone and feel down onto it, as felt like oneof the black dogs had 2ust bitten my leg. 34h bust out crying because had 2ust been court. think remember seeing some of my group higher

up the mountain but feeling like it was over for me# 34i Then came out ofthis possession and felt so embarrassed because there was a small group

of people 2ust watching this and had no idea what they were thinkinghad 2ust happen to me. 34j The was tires all bown my eye still and thewhole thing 2ust felt soo real# When got in the car we turn the corneronly to see that this e4act stop was where the border was and so it waslikely that was 2ust picking up the energy of soul of a real event and

reliving that moment. 34k +ecause of this know possession is possiblebut was not possessed by a demon. "nd if 1emons do e4ist why would could a person to become mute# 34l f " position does happen it usuallydoes not last that long, my e4perience lasted less than a minute. believeanimal possession could be possible but it)s so rare that if it happens afew times it much more likely to be a mental problem. 34k f you feel likeyou are e4periencing a long term possession it is more likely to be amental issue or it could be e4periences or characteristics from your pastlife coming back to haunt you. 34l 8eople in the past were far more violent,so if you feel a dark side of you coming through you can not 2ust belive

thats a demond, for its more likely to be 2ust your old self# The best thingyou could do to recover from this 'other you). 34m s to not think about it,and do not believe in it. 7ocus only on moving forwards with your life, changing becoming a better person. 34n To +elieve in the darker side ofyou is to only give it more energy which will make it more real# f youbelieve that there/s a monster inside of you, you will more likely becomethat most you fear# 34o So think positive, become smarter and became abetter person. There)s a arry 8otter Guote saying “We/ve all got bothlight and dark inside us. +ut what matters is the part we choose to act on.That/s who we really are.!

"he or,ers Are Few

35 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in theirsynagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing everydisease and sickness. 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion onthem, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without ashepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but theworkers are few. 38 "sk the 6ord of the harvest, therefore, to send out

workers into his harvest field.!

The realistic version#

35a Jesus went through all the towns and villages, trying to get people toworship him as their *od. *oing in their synagogues, proclaiming thegood news of the kingdom that had no proof of e4istence and that wasnot going to come for two thousand years and lying about healing everydisease and sickness. 36a When he saw the crowds, he had no compassionon them, because he thought they were harassed and helpless, like sheepwithout a shepherd. +ut he wanted to be their shepherd and have them

love and look up to him 37a Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest isplentiful but the workers are few because these people do not want to

"nna)s version

35b "nna went to many locations, trying to tell people the new *ospel proclaiming the good news of the kingdom Jerusalem/s was here andactually 2ust a woman and healing every disease and sickness that peoplehad fallen for by believing in the +ible. 36b When she saw the crowds, she had compassion on them and was not agree that they did not know the*od was female, +ut they harassed she and made her feel helpless, likesheep without a shepherd they refused to listen to her instead 2ustmocked and ignored her. 37b Then she said, “The harvest is plentiful, theproof that )m *od is everywhere, but the workers who know of me are
