Mature town, new estate

The new estate of Bidadari might not seem naturally associated with Toa Payoh. But Bidadari is actually located in that mature Housing Board town, according to the HDB’s boundaries. HDB towns usually fall within the respective UrbanRedevelopment Authority planning areas. Parts of Bidadari will fall under Potong Pasir Single Member Constituency (SMC) and other parts under MacPherson SMC as electoral boundaries are determined separately from HDB town boundaries.This means that those parts will come under Potong Pasir Town Council and Marine Parade Town Council respectively.
