Back to School Means it’s “Elks Scholarship Time”
The Most Valuable Student Scholarship Contest is open to any high school senior who isa U.S. Citizen. Applications for the 2019 contest are available online starting August 5,2019 at enf.elks.org/mvs. Applications are due online on or before November 5, 2019.Another scholarship opportunity exists for college bound high school seniors, who are chil-
dren or grandchildren of dues-paying Elks. Applications for the Legacy scholarship must besubmitted online and are available now at enf.elks.org/leg.
Veterans ChestAs always, the need is here to help those that have served us. Remember we need clean
socks (new), hats, gloves, underwear, movies, and games. I have been advised they are in need of paper towels, toilet paper, and laundry detergent
as their food stamps will not allow these purchases. The guys really need our help. At the present time they have plenty of playing cards. If there are any questions I would be happy to explain what is accepted; not that they aren't
happy with all you have done for them.John Schroeder, Vets Chair
