It began with a revolutionary ideaAs a young Realtor in the 1970s, Dave Liniger was frustrated by the restrictive state of the industry. He envisioned a system in which top-producing Sales Associates could excel without handing half of their commissions to their brokers.

In 1973, Liniger and his future wife, Gail, launched RE/MAX in Colorado. It was based on a maximum commission structure that rewarded agents who had great passion for their business.

Top agents flocked to RE/MAX. The industry was forever changed.

Today, RE/MAX has nearly 90,000 agents and 6,000 offices in over 85 countries. Dave and Gail Liniger still lead the organization from RE/MAX World Headquarters in Denver.
