Maxwell S MacCollum III, MDOrthopaedics, Arthroscopy & Fractures
Dr. MacCollum is the senior partner at Canyon Orthopaedic Surgeons. A Phoenix native, he graduated from Colorado College and the University of Arizona College of Medicine. Dr. MacCollum completed his orthopaedic training at Maricopa Medical Center and joined Canyon in 1989. A fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Dr. MacCollum was certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in 1991 and successfully passed his re-certification examination in 2010. His areas of expertise include arthroscopy, fracture management, and the treatment of adult and pediatric orthopaedic disorders.
JF James Davidson, MD Shoulder & Knee Disorders, Subspecialty Certificate in Sports Medicine
A lifelong Arizonan, Dr. Davidson graduated with honors from Yale University and received his MD degree from Columbia University. He completed his orthopaedic residency and a fellowship in sports medicine in Phoenix. Dr. Davidson is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Davidson has published scientific papers and spoken nationally on topics ranging from anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction to arthroscopic rotator cuff repair. He is spring training physician for the Chicago White Sox as well as the team orthopaedist for numerous local schools. His special interests include disorders of the shoulder and knee. Dr. Davidson has been with Canyon since 1994.

David W Sanders, MD Orthopaedics, Knee Arthroscopy & Fractures
Dr. Sanders was elected to the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa Society at the University of hawaii, where he received both his BS and MD degrees. He completed his orthopaedic training in Phoenix, and is board certified by the American board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Sanders passed his re-certification examination in 2007 with the highest possible score. he is a member and officer of the Arizona orthopaedic Society, and has served as the orthopaedic director for Banner Surgery Centers of Arizona. He is also the president and two-time champion of the hawaiian/Arizona Golf Club.
Dr. Sanders practices general orthopaedics and has a special interest in adult and pediatric fracture management and arthroscopy. He joined Canyon in 1995.
Curtis D Miller, MD Lower Extremity Reconstruction, Disorders of the Hip & Knee
Dr. Miller graduated from Pacific union College with academic distinction in 1982. he attended loma linda University Medical School, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. After completing his orthopaedic residency at loma linda university in 1991, Dr. Miller served for four years in the United States Air Force, attaining the rank of major and serving as chief of orthopaedic surgery at Davis- Monthan Air Force Base.
Following his military service, Dr. Miller completed a fellowship in adult lower extremity reconstructive surgery under the direction of Dr. Kenneth A. Krackow in new York. Dr. Miller is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in primary and revision total hip and knee replacement, knee arthroscopy, and osteotomies, and has published scientific articles and presented his research at both national and international meetings. Because of the complex nature of his practice, Dr. Miller has patients referred to him from throughout the southwestern United States. He is a spring training physician for the Chicago White Sox, and has been with Canyon since 1996.
Vishal A D Ganesh, MD Lower Extremity Reconstruction, Limb Lengthening & Fractures A native of Canada, Vishal Ganesh, graduated from the university of Alberta with academic distinction. He completed his orthopedic residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit where he was selected as Chief Resident. He then spent a fellowship year in Minnesota studying limb lengthening and lower extremity reconstruction with world renowned surgeon, Dr Mark Dahl. Dr. Ganesh is board eligible, and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic surgeons.
Dr. Ganesh practices general orthopaedics with interests in hip and knee replacement and fracture management. his areas of expertise include limb lengthening, deformity correction, nonunion/malunion repair, minimally invasive surgery, and hip arthroscopy. He joined Canyon in 2011.
Kent H Chou, MD Hand, Wrist, Elbow Disorders, Subspecialty Certificate in Surgery of the Hand Dr. Chou attended Brigham Young University and graduated summa cum laude with a BA in English. He then attended Yale University School of Medicine, where he obtained his MD degree. He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery as well as a fellowship in hand, upper extremity, and microsurgery at the university of Pittsburgh Medical Center. he has authored numerous scientific publications and has had his research presented at both national and international meetings.
Dr. Chou is board certified by the American board of orthopaedic Surgery and holds a Subspecialty Certificate in Surgery of the hand. he is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the American Association for Hand Surgery. He specializes in the treatment of disorders of the hand, wrist, and elbow, and has a particular interest in minimally invasive carpal tunnel surgery. Dr. Chou has been with Canyon since 2004.
