Guest Speaker: Dr Tan Lai Yong, Senior Lecturer, NUS Upon graduation from NUS in 1985, Lai Yong worked as a doctor in Singapore. In 1996, Lai Yong and his family moved to Yunnan, China. There, they joined a community development team and worked with the poverty-stricken in remote villages, caring for orphans, disabled children and those affected by leprosy. Lai Yong was given the Singapore International Foundation (SIF) Award presented by then Deputy Prime Minister, Mr Lee Hsien Loong, and the 2005 Singapore MILK Fund (Mainly I Love Kids) Award for Outstanding Youth and Children’s Worker.

Fee: $280 per person (Includes ferry, transfers, twin-sharing accommodation, 3 lunches and 2 dinners. Excludes insurance.)
