Watch for your absentee ballot Secretary o State and Chie Elections Officer LindMcCulloch announced on Friday that counties mailed out232,731 ballots to identied absentee voters. “Voting by absentee ballot is convenient and as secureas voting at the polling place,” Secretary McCulloch said.

Even though ballots go out to electors on the absenteelist, you can still apply or an absentee ballot anytime upuntil noon the day be ore the election.McCulloch reminds voters that unlike ballots or the May school electionswhich are conducted by mail only, ballots or the Primaryare mailed out to voters who have conrmed their mailingaddress in 2016. I you did not respond to the conrmationmailing sent by your county election administrator, it’s nottoo late. You can conrm anytime, or can just reapply to beon the absentee list. Additionally a letter was sent to St. Marie Fire Dept.(signed by Pat rotter, St. Marie Co-Op President) with theadded item o SMDC (St. Marie, Development Corp.) to beaddressed. Te notice stated “Tere will be a Q&A sessionwith each organization afer the presentations. I along with many concerned St. Marie residentsattended the May 14th meeting. A ew potential concernswere brought to light and many questions went unansweredsince the ocused gentlemen Pat rotter and Marv Betheawere absent rom the meeting. 1. Jeff White, Mike and Rachel Meddora opened the

meeting with the St. Marie Co-Op presentation. White statedthat rotter was in charge o the Co-Op that is to includerental storage acilities (Boeing bunkers), a communitygarden, thrif store, gas station and convenience store.Meddora stated that he had a lease-purchase agreementwith Marv Bethea on the 120 bunkers that will rent or $50per month. Audience questioned insurance on contentsand liability as well as access allowed by MARCO? Te Co-Op and the Senior Village led corporations with the Sec.o State reects Marv Bethea as the registered agent. 2. Cindi Laffin addressed the proposed community

arm behind the old post office that has an existing old waterbill o over $600 and a need or an additional $1,000 per yearor water usage. She asked or 20 people to donate $50 each

to cover water costs. Laffin also offered to help residentsprepare and plant a garden behind their own unit (30 eetout and width o unit allowed) or $30. Some suggested thatavoiding Bethea’s property and water bills might be betterand each unit owner already has water supply present, aswell as better security rom vandalism and wildli e varmints. 3. White stated that Bethea was donating the building

or a convenience store and gas station. Many in theaudience asked about the cost to build and sustain suchan idea. I asked i a easibility study, cost-benet analysis,and business plan has been developed and added that paststudies indicated that such an effort didn’t pencil out. 4. A proposed Trif Store to be located in the oldLibrary was touched on. I asked who legally owned thebuilding as well as the Chapel- answer was don’t know. 5. All that was said about Northstar Senior Village wasthat it offered affordable housing in tract 5, asked i thesewere Bethea owned units and yes was the answer. 6. White was asked who was rue Faith Ministries, he

answered ME. He added that the previous religious LLCwith him named as contact was no longer in use. 7. I shared documents reecting that Mike Mitchell

rom Missoula led SMDC with the state and a coupleo weeks later Pat Kelly led the same with the same I.Dnumber. I asked who has legal authority to run SMDC(St. Marie Development Corp) Mitchell, Kelly, or Bethea?Answer was- Don’t Know. I and others asked why theShareholders were not in ormed or invited to past SMDCmeetings and exactly what properties or value does SMDChave? I added that some olks listed as Directors o SMDCwere not Shareholders and did not own any property in St.Marie. Does anyone have those answers? 8. I shared the current dollar amounts in the hundredso thousands o UNPAID Association and Village ees awell as over one million dollars o UNPAID taxes by the“Big 4” so called developers. So how can these lofy wishesreally be success ul? It’s been 20 years o the same othing!

CONCLUSION: Interested olks should ask or udisclosure o liens, loans, and which properties are on the verge o oreclosure or involved in litigation. The new Montana state record smallmouth bass was shatteredby 20-year-old Jacob Fowler of Polson while shing the southend of Flathead Lake: a 21 incher weighing 7.4 pounds.Kenny Breidinger, who is the FWP sh biologist for FlatheadLake, said that smallmouth bass were introduced illegally a

few years back. The previous record was caught by MelvinMcDonald in Fort Peck Reservoir in August of 2013, andwas 22.5 inches and 6.7 pounds. Jacob was interviewed bythe Captain on Saturday morning’s Montana Outdoor RadioShow. While the interview was quite choppy (he apparentlyhasn’t mastered the art of spinning big sh tales) not a badcatch for a male model who is scheduled to take a trip toChina for a modeling job.
