    Section contin-

ues to treat sol-diers in the task

    force, and en-

    sures soldiers

    medical tasks

    needed for com-

    bat operations.

FROM THE COMMANDERWe are continuing to send Soldiers home on

leave so they can get some much deserved rest

and relaxation. We understand that many of

the spouses have adjusted to us being gone,

showing their strength and flexibility very

early on in the deployment. Before all Sol-

diers return home on leave, we counsel them

and remind them of these facts, so they are not

in shock when they see their spouse mowingthe lawn or taking care of things they normally

    wouldnt. I

    would person-

    ally like to ex-

    press my solemn

    pride in the

    families and

    spouses of our

    Soldiers, you

    truly are thebest!

    -CPT Weaver, Company Commander

I would personally liketo express my solemn

pride in the families andspouses of our Soldiers, you truly are the best!

    "You can talkabout us, but

    you can't talkwithout us."

The BN S4 section enjoys group PT 3 times

a week, and frequently enjoys playing vol-

leyball. As a group we enjoy SGT Taua'isdelicious BBQ that he expertly prepares for

the cookouts with Battalion and Brigade counterparts on

    Sundays at the pool.

On behalf of the BN S4 section we would like to thank

CPT Velazquez for his leadership, inspirational talks and

overall presence. We wish his continued success in the

Army as he continues on to the Captains Career Course,

then to assume command of a Sapper Company.

record here on JBB. Wish us luck

    on our next one!

Also, some of our Soldiers re-

hats off to them! Weare all proud of them

    We appreciate your

PSDSPC (P) Phillips and SPC (P) Hayes earned their promotablestatus at the E5 Promotion Board today! For over two months,

both Soldiers have been studying intensely with

SGT Letner (the S2 NCOIC) for the Board while

also producing quality work for the S2

    (Intelligence) Section. Without the information

they provide, CPT Diaz (the Officer in Charge of

S2) would have a harder time predicting what the enemy is

going to do. They have done an admirable job for the section.

Few 12Bs would willingly take a "desk job" and many would

be overwhelmed with the variety of tasks involved. Their pro-motable status is well deserved; both Soldiers are eager to

learn and to lead, and both will make quality NCOs. Congratu-

lations to both! -1LT Morse, Assistant S-2
