Amir Khan clambered up off the canvas to keep his dreams of muscling back in on the world title picture just about alive with a dramatic points victory over Julio Diaz at the Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield.Bolton's Amir Khan clambered up off the canvas to keep his dreams of muscling back in on the world title picture just about alive with a dramatic points victory over Julio Diaz at the Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield.

Khan turned a routine-looking assignment into a desperate war as he was dumped by a big left hook in the fourth round and teetered on the brink of further knockdowns as Diaz forced a spectacular finish.

Khan did enough in the early r o u n d s t o d e s e r v e h i s unanimous 115-113, 115-112, 114-113 points win, but it was far from the convincing statement he sought as he looks to set up lucrative showdowns back in the big time.

Fighting at a career-heaviest 143lbs, Khan knew he could ill afford to slip up after successive

Amir Khan recovers from knockdownto beat Julio Diaz on points

    Sports

defeats to Lamont Peterson and Danny Garcia threatened to bring an end to his top-level career.

The Bolton man rallied with a low-key win over Carlos Molina in Los Angeles last December and saw his bout against ageing former wor ld l igh tweight champion Diaz as the ideal opportunity to move closer to reclaiming one of his title belts.

Diaz's best days were clearly behind him, having last fought at world title level when he lost to his namesake Juan Diaz in 2007, but the 33-year-old still entered the ring with a reputation as a rugged and durable opponent.

And he almost turned into Khan's worst nightmare as he visibly grew to relish his task, hurting Khan in the eighth round and launching furious assaults which almost saw further knockdowns in the 10th and 11th rounds.Diaz had offered little in the opening exchanges to hint that he would unduly detain Khan, all

    o f w h i c h m a d e K h a n ' s susceptibility to wide left hooks all the more alarming.

Khan looked in total control at the start but in the third there were signs of his weakness for turning the most simple of assignments into action-packed bouts as Diaz flicked home his first left hands of the bout.

And that old weakness was underlined in the fourth round when he walked into a swinging left hook which dumped him backwards onto the canvas, from where he comfortably beat referee Marcus McDonnell's count.

Diaz's shot sent a gasp through the crowd who had clearly expected Khan to get the better of a one-sided affair, and Khan exuded caution early in the fifth as his focused opponent began to sense an improbable win.

Khan reached the halfway point with plenty still to prove, not least in terms of his credentials to muscle back in on the world title scene.

A stronger sixth swung the momentum back in Khan's favour, and Diaz began bleeding around his right eye in the seventh as more clubbing rights found their target. Diaz responded with a blatant low blow that went unpunished by the referee.

Alarmingly susceptible to left hooks, Khan soaked up another in round eight and looked hurt as Diaz pushed forward in search of the big shot that would likely dump his opponent to the canvas for a second time.

HEALTH & BEAUTYARE COSMETICS THE SECRET TO LOOKING YOUNGER?

There's a lot of confusion about whether makeup makes us look older or younger, and often the conventional wisdom of makeup tends to contradict itself. For example: did you pile on the eyeshadow as a teenager, hoping not to get carded? Or, do you think that a woman of a certain age shouldn't wear dark lipstick because it's too harsh?

The answers to beauty's greatest contradictions may lie in science. A suggests that there may be a more subtle cue to evaluating someone's age: Facial contrast. Essentially, there may be scientific proof that cosmetics actually can help us look younger.

    Psychology professor Richard Russel l and CERIES (an i n d e p e n d e n t r e s e a r c h foundation established by Chanel in 1991) published a study in March of this year assessing 289 faces ranging from 20 to 70 years old.

    new study

According to the study, redness of the lips, definition of the eye, and the luminance contrast between the brows and forehead are all subconscious cues for assessing a person's age. They found that the color and depth of eyebrows, eyes, and lips contrasted less and less with the surrounding skin as age increased. In other words, as age increased, contrast decreased. And contrast, it turns out, is i m p o r t a n t i n v i s u a l l y determining how we age.

The researchers artificially increased the contrast of facial features in a selection of the photos and asked a sample audience to compare them side by side with the original photos and pick which looked younger. They also asked subjects to type an age for a series of random consecutive photos they were presented in which multiple versions of the same face were given varying levels

of contrast. The subjects were told that they might see the same face twice, but not that the photos would be altered. Each time, the photos with the most contrast were rated the youngest.

The study posits that as well as looking younger, the face with higher contrast appears healthier and more attractive than the face with lower contrast, which may be related to recent findings that facial color affects perceived health.

We've seen Premiership footballer players in camouflaged Bentleys and Justin Bieber behind the wheel of a chrome-wrapped sports car, but automotive taste has finally driven itself of a cliff with the velvet-wrapped Porsche.

The soft-looking Panamera was snapped by former Apprentice contestant James Lester outside his plush estate agents in Fulham, west London. The picture went viral on Twitter with most users wondering two things. Firstly, who on earth would want to ruin their Porsche with upholstery fabric? And secondly, what happens when a pigeon craps on it?

It turns out it is the first soft-to-touch car of its kind in the country and it's the handiwork of car-wrap firm Raccoon (raccoon.co.uk). It's a marmite thing of course, says Richard Clark, the firm's

    Motoring:

managing director. But the owner loves it and as hard as it is to believe, it's really easy to wash. I just wouldn't suggest running it through a car wash.

Jim Holder, editor of Autocar magazine, isn't impressed: Each to their own! But it will wreck the paint, nobody will buy it used and the owner could - should be a laughing stock back home.

And believe or not, said owner - who perhaps wisely is keeping his identity secret - isn't an attention-grabbing celebrity or even an over-paid footballer. Is the awful car-wrapping trend becoming more democratic then? Thankfully not; it cost the owner somewhere in the region of 2,500 on top of the 60-100k he'll have paid for the car. Thankfully you won't see it on a Ford Fiesta in your local Tesco car park anytime soon.

Upholster your Porsche for a really smooth ride

    Fiat Panda 4x4 TwinAir

The new Fiat Panda 4x4. Early spring isn't normally the best time to test a new off-roader (I should be in a convertible with the sun on my face), but as luck would have it there was still plenty of snow, mud and freezing rain about for my test of this tiny 4x4 from Italy. And on a treacherous five-hour run to Birmingham to visit the new Jaguar F-Type's production line, coming back to London via the icy lanes of Shakespeare Country and the Cotswolds, I fell madly in love with the Fiat Panda 4x4.

Before, we delve into the abyss of Islam and discuss mysticism, spirituality and Sufism we must first discuss the basics of Islam. As we all know there are FIVE pillars of Islam (I am assuming here we all know these FIVE pillars without second thoughts)

For everything to work in synchronisation like clockwork, one must have an unflinching faith to start with which, then is supported by the grandeur of Prayers (Salaat). Prayers pave the way for the mortals (Human Beings) to reach the Court of Allah (SWT) seeking his blessings and bounties in the quickest possible way. For this to be achieved, prayers (Salaat) have to become one's second nature by default.

Revisiting the legacy as to why Allah (SWT) awarded these mandatory prayers to the Ummah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). To start with fifty Salaats were awarded at first & then were reduced to five by Allah (SWT) on the mediation of Prophet Musa (AS) (Moses in the Bible) to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Let us now briefly look into the amazing circumstances which lead to this bequest of Salaat finding its way to us.

    The Salah of Fajr:

When Adam (AS) was sent down to the World (Earth) it was the early hours of the morning or the last quarter of the night. This pitch black darkness made Adam very anxious and wary as he could not see in the dark. This made Adam (AS) very emotional and overwhelmed as being in the Heavens Adam (AS) had never seen Darkness like this before.

Farz (mandatory paryers) Salah and reasoning behind their Fixed times of Pray

    By: Amir Yaqub

To his relief, when the dawn broke and the darkness dissipated and his fear of loneliness eroded, Adam (AS) prayed two rakat Salah in gratitude. Allah (SWT) awarded this prayer (Fajr) to Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) and his Ummah so they keep on offering this Salah with this faith that all the calamities, hardships, fear of unknown can be warded of only by Allah (SWT) at his Will and discretion.

Adam (AS) after the dissipation of night had offered the prayers in gratitude to his Lord, where as the Ummah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)offers Fidya for the darkness of Grave and Judgement Day before their final journey from this World.

    Note: Thanks are normally offered a f t e r w a rd s a n d F i d y a i s beforehand.

    The Salah of Zuhr:

The Zuhr prayer has been made mandatory because Sun is the source of light for the Earth. Infidels sun worshippers worship the Sun. From the moment, Sun rises it grows stronger proudly as the day progresses. At noon time, a f t e r h i t t i n g i t s o p t i m u m temperature (level) it begins to weaken itself (by the Order of Allah) and loses its pride, glare and temperature confirming that it is a finite false entity.

Allah (SWT) addressed his finest creation (mankind) affirming that from morning till noon these infidel sun worshippers have worshipped their false god (The Sun!) where as, the righteous ones among them will pray to their Lord ALLAH (SWT) who from infinity has been in the same position and will remain so till eternity. So in comparison (to these

infidel sun worshippers) offers your Zuhr prayer for the blessings to be showered on you where as, an unimaginable fate awaits these unbelievers.

The timing of Zuhr is as such that in this particular time Angels praise Allah (SWT) and (though angels praise Allah 24/7) the doors of the Sky are opened. This is an auspicious time for the granting of one's supplication - Saying of Muhammad (PBUH)

    The Salah of Asr:

This the time of the day when Adam (AS) had eaten from the Forbidden tree against the order of Allah (SWT), in doing so Adam (AS) became naked. Allah (SWT) got so annoyed with him that he was ordered out of the Heavens onto the Earth's prison. Where as the Ummah o f Muhammad (PBUH) has been given this time to pray where the Ummah sort of refrains from eating while performing Salaat (as this is not meal time) as if to observe Fast albeit for a short

while, so that Allah becomes happy with our obedience and showers HIS blessings on us.

Allah (SWT) says in the Glorious Quran, look after all your Salaat especially the middle (Asr) one. So, we should now pay heed to all our prayers with special reference to Asr Salaat..

    The Salaat of Maghrib:

It is this particular time of the day when Adam's (AS) prostration and repentance was accepted by Allah (SWT) and in gratitude Adam (AS) offered a prayer. Repentance of Adam (AS) was an awesome favour by Allah (SWT), verily like Adam (AS) has had been grateful to Allah (SWT) his generations in times ahead would have to do the same, so this prayer of Maghrib was made mandatory.

Further, at this time bright day comes to end and after sunset the dark night sets in and the wild, dangerous and harmful creatures of the dark including Jinns (Gene) come crawling out to unleash havoc on mankind. Evil wanders about when the day folds in.

Though having two eyes, it will be difficult to see in the dark had it not been because of light of some sort for one to feel safe, as it would be unsafe and unpredictable in the p i t c h b l a c k s u r ro u n d i n g . Therefore, in such a state, only the safe fold of Allah can provide sanctity to the vulnerable soul by offering this salaat.

    The Salaah of Isha:

Prophet Musa (Moses) was concerned about four worries

through out the day namely:For him (MUSA Moses in the Bible (AS) to cross the River alive and safely His followers to cross the River Nile Alive and safelyTo be rid off evil Pharaoh (Firon - in Arabic - King of Egypt)

Destruction of Pharaoh and his army for Truth to prevail

At this particular time (Isha) of the night, Allah (SWT) freed Prophet Musa (AS) from his four worries and Pharaoh along with his army was drowned in the River Nile. Once Prophet Musa (AS) was freed from these worries, he offered four rakat Salaah in gratitude.

Same was awarded to the Ummah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as mandatory so that the Ummah can be grateful to Allah and rejoice knowing full well that Truth prevailed while False - Batil derailed and destroyed. It also affirms the message that every victory is from Allah (SWT) and that Human being with all his might cannot attain victory without the WILL & discretion of Allah.

Having these incidents in mind while offering prayers offers solace and solitude from the world and assists one to connect to Allah (SWT) with complete submission. May Allah (SWT) help us all to establish our prayers with renewed zest and zeal, ameen!!

Islam encapsulates the mysticism and aura of Divineness in its purest form. One does not have to probe too deep to arrive at this veracity. Every aspect of life that one possibly can face has been discussed and explained in detail within the religion. There are million and millions of books available chanting the same and screaming the veracity that It is the Ideal System of Living for All Mankind.

On the other hand, there are again innumerable books available which are twisting the facts and maligning the religion by distorting its ethos and painting it in the darker shade. This shameful practice is tarnishing the image of the religion which in turn, is confusing our youth & driving them away.

One can of fizzy drink a day increases Type 2 diabetes risk by a fifth

.The largest study of the link between soft-drink consumption and Type 2 diabetes in Europe has found that the sweetened beverages not only cause weight gain, which is associated with a higher rate of diabetes, but also increase the risk of the condition independently.Almost one in 20 adults in the UK has diabetes, of which 2.6 million are diagnosed and 500,000 are undiagnosed. Rates are rising in this country and around the world, driven by Western lifestyles, and the number of cases is expected to exceed 4 million in the UK by 2025.Researchers from Imperial College, London, led the study of more than 12,000 people with Type 2 diabetes whose diets were compared with 16,000 controls in nine European countries, including the UK.The results showed that people who drank one can of sweetened soft drink a day had a 22 per cent increased risk of diabetes. The risk remained almost as high,

at 18 per cent, even after account was taken of how overweight the individuals were and how much they ate.Sweetened soft drinks contain a lot of calories which contribute to overweight and obesity, which in turn is a cause of diabetes. But the drinks appeared to increase the risk separately from this effect, possibly by triggering insulin resistance, reducing the body's ability to use glucose.Diet drinks, with artificial sweeteners, did not appear to increase the risk once account was taken of individuals' weight and calorie intake.Dr Dora Romaguera, of Imperial College, who led the study published in Diabetologia, said: "There was an association in normal weight individuals, overweight and the obese. Even in normal weight individuals, those who drank a glass of soft drink a day were more likely to develop diabetes."No link with diabetes was found for those who drank fruit juice. it

But the researchers were unable to distinguish between pure unsweetened fruit juice and the sweetened and diluted fruit juices known as nectars, because the

data was collected in the 1990s and no distinction was made.Dr Romaguera said: "The hypothesis for fruit juice is different. We know they naturally

contain sugar but fruits are not associated with an increase in diabetes, rather they are protective. It may be the anti-oxidants they contain that counter the effect of the sugar."

    Health

Drinking a can of cola a day increases the risk of developing diabetes by a fifth, according to research

Homeopathy is 'rubbish', .............says chief medical officer

Homeopathic remedies are rubbish and do not serve as anything more than placebos, Englands chief medical officer has claimed.

Professor Dame Sally Davies said she was perpetually surprised homeopathy was provided on the NHS, and branded homeopaths peddlers.

    Giving evidence to the Commons

    Science and Technology

    committee, she also expressed

    fears about the prescription of

    homeopathic remedies to treat

    malaria and other illnesses.

    'I'm very concerned when

    homeopathic practitioners try to

peddle this way of life to prevent

    malaria or other infectious

    disease, she said.

    I am perpetually surprised that

    homeopathy is available on the

    NHS.

    Dame Sally, who is England's

    most senior doctor, concluded by

    remarking that homeopathy is

    rubbish.

The Department of Health said it

was up to local NHS organisations

    to decide whether to fund

    homeopathic treatments.

    Complementary therapies have

    been famously championed by the

    Prince of Wales, while Jeremy

    Hunt, the Health Secretary, has

    also backed homeopathy.

Its supporters believe it can treat

    everything from depression to

hay fever, the theory being that

    substances that produce the

symptoms of an ailment can cure

it once they have been watered

down many times to reduce their

    strength.

    Advocates of the practice claim

the water retains a memory of

    the original substance.

But critics say the only benefits

are in the mind, with a Lancet y

    study concluding that

    homeopathy was no more

    effective than the standard sugar

pill given as a placebo in clinical

    trials.

    In 2010, the Science and

    Technology Committee agreed

there was no evidence the drugs

were any more effective than a

    placebo.

    But then health minister Anne

    Milton said the Government still

    believed the local NHS and

    clinicians were best placed to

    make decisions on what treatment

    was appropriate for their patients,

    and homeopathy has continued to

    be available on the NHS.

Pakistan election: Taliban threats hamper secular campaign

The cancellation of a key political rally that was to kick-start the election campaign of one of the largest political parties in Pakistan is seen by many as indicative of hard times for the country's secular political forces in the coming days.

The Pakistan People's Party (PPP) abandoned plans for Wednesday

night's rally in its native stronghold of Larkana town following what party leaders called "security threats" from militants.

The PPP is one of three parties recently named by a spokesman of the Pakistani Taliban as "legitimate" targets for militant attacks during the elections, due in May.

The other two parties on the hit list are the Karachi-based MQM, and the Pashtun nationalist ANP party which has its main base in the north-western province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and also enjoys sizeable support in Karachi.

All three are professedly secular, and were partners in the government that completed its five-year term last month.

Similar Taliban threats forced former military ruler Gen Pervez Musharraf, also known for his secular leanings, to cancel a welcome rally on 24 March, the day he returned to the country after a four-year long self-imposed exile. These threats follow huge election rallies already held by former cricketer Imran Khan's PTI, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif's PML-N and Maulana Fazlur Rahman's JUI-F.

Parties like Jamaat-e-Islami and the political wings of some of the jihadi and sectarian groups also have an open field for campaigning.

All these parties are either overtly religious, or are run by right-wing liberals with religious leanings.

The debate over how much money benefits claimants should receive has run on for weeks. But just how l i t t l e money can someone realistically get by on?

The government says no family on benefits should receive more than the 26,000 - after tax - the average family earns.

A benefits cap estimated at 350 a week for a single adult and 500 a week for a couple or single parent - regardless of how many children they have - is being piloted in four areas of London. From July it will be rolled out across England, Scotland and Wales.

The major weekly cost for most people is housing. But the massive variation in cost across the UK almost renders it pointless to talk

about any sort of average. Many, but not all, people on low incomes have most or all of their rent covered by housing benefit.

So, excluding housing costs, how much money does a person - for the sake of simplicity, single and living alone - need to get by?

    Food

With careful planning, an adult could spend as little as 12 per week on a healthy, balanced diet, says Tom Sanders, a professor of nutrition at Kings College London.

Filling up on starchy foods and cheap fruit and vegetables is key. Think lots of baked potatoes, hearty soups and pasta bakes.

Many people would need to cut their meat intake down to once or twice a week, Sanders says, because it is relatively expensive.

Once those principles are accepted, the recommended daily intake of calories - 2,500 for a man and 2,000 for a woman - should be relatively easily achieved.

Sanders recommends foods (selected supermarket prices on 25 April in brackets) such as potatoes (Tesco's cheapest 69p a kg), bread (Tesco 60p a kg), pasta (Asda 1 a kg), cabbage (Tesco 69p each), frozen fruit and vegetables, broccol i (Asda 2 a kg) , cauliflower (Sainsbury's 89p each), bananas (Tesco 68p a kg), tinned tomatoes (Asda 78p a kg), borlotti beans, peanut butter (Asda 98p), eggs (Sainsbury's 12p an egg), cheese (Asda mild grated cheddar 4.24 a kg) and milk.

Budgeters would also need to cook at home, partly to avoid the 20% VAT added to takeaways and

By Duncan Walker & Keith Moore

    eating out.

"Living on a budget requires planning," Sanders says.

And there's a catch for those who aren't confident in the kitchen, or don't already own the necessary utensils.

"Theoretically it is possible to eat on 12 a week, but in practice it will be double that, because people don't have good cooking skills and the equipment they might need."

On average, the poorest 20% of non-retired single adult households (those with less than 256 a week before tax) spent 22.30 a week on food and non-alcoholic drink, according to the 2012 Family

Spending Survey from the Office for National Statistics.

Swedish police find drugs in Justin Biebers busSwedish police said on Thursday they found drugs on teen idol Justin Biebers tour bus in Stockholm, but had no suspects and were unlikely to pursue the case further. A police officer on crowd duty smelled marijuana on an empty tour bus outside the hotel where Bieber was staying just before his concert in the capital on Wednesday night, police spokesman Kjell Lindgren said. Police searched the empty bus after it had taken 10 to 15 individuals to the concert venue. The police went onto the bus and searched it and found a small amount of narcotics, Lindgren said. We dont know who had the drugs or who smoked them, so it will be hard to link them with any individual. The drugs have been sent for analysis and Lindgren said the police did not plan further action unless they got more information. Bieber is travelling Europe on his Believe tour and is due in Finland for a concert on Friday.

Bieber got into trouble earlier this month after a museum dedicated to Anne Frank said the 19-year-old had written that he hoped the young Holocaust victim would have been a belieber, the word used by his fans to describe themselves. reuters

Imtiaz Ali`s next film `Highway`, starring Randeep Hooda and Alia Bhatt, will release on December 13, Zee News reports.

The film, currently in its second schedule, will see Imtiaz and AR Rahman reunite again after their successful collaboration on `Rockstar`. `Highway` is very close to Imtiaz`s heart as he wanted to make it before any other film. There`s a story in you for years, a world you can`t wait to get into that`s `Highway`, says Imtiaz.

I`m on, if you want me!, said Rahman. The two are now trying to match it musically to the varied vistas of the film from Delhi to Rajasthan, Haryana to Himachal, Punjab to Kashmir. Come to think of it, it was only last December that we agreed to go ahead with the film. And to start the shoot in March and then stick to the schedules despite being such a tough shoot is quite incredible. daily times monitor

Asylum seeker Khalid Shahzad was found dead at Wilmslow train station as he travelled back to the city from Colnbrook IRC near London Heathrow airport.

A detainee at an immigration removal centre who was

released because he was deemed too sick to remain there died hours later on a train back to Manchester.

Preliminary reports suggest the 52-year-old Pakistani national, who lived in Cheetham Hill, died from heart disease.

    The Home Office, which uses

Probe after sick asylum seeker deemed unfit for detention dies on train

the removal centre to hold i n d i v i d u a l s a t r i s k o f deportation, has launched an investigation into his death. According to Mr Shahzad's family, he was taken into hospital for heart surgery days before he was discharged from the centre.

His niece's husband, Mehboob Sultan, 40, from Cheetham Hill, said he thought the care Mr Shahzad had received from

Colnbrook IRC was not good enough.

Mr Sultan added: He went into the hospital and four days after he's discharged they release him and make him sit on a train on his own

    back home.

A Home Office spokesman said they do provide specialist support to individuals being released from detention if

Muhammed Shakoori, 62, was stripped of his licence in 2009 but was caught offering immigration advice without a licence in 2010 and again last year.

He was warned he would be jailed if he was caught operating illegally again when he appeared in court in June 2012.

Shakoori ignored the warning and conned two asylum seekers who were desperate to move to Britain out of 1,000.

But Manchester Magistrates Court heard Shakoori was caught when one of the victims, from

Algeria, searched for his name on the internet and read about his previous convictions .

He has now been sent to prison for four months by a judge who told him: You prey upon vulnerable individuals.

His latest victims, brothers Mokhtar and Aissa Menassel, paid Shakoori nearly 1,000 in f e e s b e f o r e b e c o m i n g suspicious of his credentials when their immigration claims failed. They then reported him to the Immigration Services Commissioner.

The Home Office said the revised exam, which is being introduced in March, will focus less on the practicalities of daily living in Britain and more on the nation's culture and past, with topics such as sport, music and key historical facts featuring heavily.

For example, while foreigners will be expected to know British history stretching back to the Stone Age, through to the Romans, Norman Conquest and the Magna Carta, they will also be tested on last year's Olympics and "Britons' unique sense of humour and satire".

UK citizenship test 'to cover Britain's greats'

Changes to the Life in the UK citizenship test, which must be taken by all migrants wanting to settle permanently in Britain, have been unveiled.

Beatles and Andrew Lloyd Webber, and the nation's national parks all feature in the 45-minute test.

Foreign nationals will also be asked about the nat ion 's ar t i s t ic achievements, Britain's love of gardening and garden design and the work of influential architects including Christopher Wren and Norman Foster.

Questions on literary masterpieces by poets and authors such as Geoffrey Chaucer, Jane Austen and Wilfred Owen, as well as the lives of some of Britain 's most celebrated writers, scientists and p o l i t i c i a n s , f r o m Wi l l i a m Shakespeare and Robert Burns to Isaac Newton and Winston Churchill also feature.

Ministers said the exam and its

accompanying handbook, released today, will cover events and people "who have contributed to making Britain great".

    Immigration minister Mark

Harper said: "We've stripped out mundane information about water meters , how to f ind t ra in timetables, and using the internet.

"The new book rightly focuses on values and principles at the heart of being British. Instead of telling people how to claim benefits it encourages participation in British life."

More than 150,000 Life in the UK tests were taken nationally last year, including 77,000 in London.
